Thank you for your email – we had a wonderful time in China. Silvia did a FANTASTIC job. She was so accommodating of our continuously changing requests and the hectic schedule we asked her to arrange for us. The whole trip went very smoothly and for that we are very grateful.
Some more specific feedback about the trip itself:
1. The guides were fantastic – very friendly and knowledgeable J Alice, Helen and Rachel did a fantastic job of showing us around their respective cities, and made us feel very comfortable. The guide we had in Xian was not as friendly – after she met us, she did not speak to us for the first 30min – we do not even know her name! I appreciate that we arrived very late, so she may have been tired, but even on our trip around the Terracotta Warriors, she lacked the enthusiasm that the others had. She was not a bad guide, I guess we were just expecting more as we had such amazing guides everywhere else.
2. The hotels were all clean and comfortable – again, except for Xian. This hotel was TERRIBLE and does not deserve 3 stars. The carpet was dirty, the water in the bathroom was dirty and smelly, the walls were covered with squashed mosquitos and generally, it was not a pleasant place to stay. Fortunately, we were not there for very long – but I would not recommend you using this hotel again in future.
3. I think for a trip like this, it is not necessarily to book a hotel in the city centre. Something closer to the airport or the place we were to visit would have been sufficient. Each night, we landed very late, and then had a significant journey to the hotel, which in my opinion wasted time – particularly as we were not staying in those locations long enough to appreciate the city centre – aside from this, the trip was very well organised – thank you Silvia.
4. We saw all the things in China that we wanted to see – this was thanks to Silvia’s co-ordination, the Guides flexibility and the drivers for getting us around in a timely manner
5. We felt the trip was good value for money and would definitely recommend Easy Tours China to our friends.
