On October 25, 2009, Air China will launch a new route from Beijing to Tokyo Haneda Airport, which is 16 kilometers away from downtown Tokyo.

Two flights will be scheduled daily for the Beijing-Haneda route, with the flight numbers being CA181/2 and CA183/4. The former will depart from Beijing at 8:40 in the morning and fly back at 13:50 local time; the latter will depart from Beijing at 17:35 and depart from Tokyo at 8:30 the next day.

After the route is launched, there will be five Air China flights each day between Beijing and Tokyo: three on the Beijing-Tokyo Narita route, and two on the Beijing-Tokyo Haneda route.
