With a total population of 2.12 million by 2001, Hohhot is a 400-year-old city, which was listed as one of China's Historic and Cultural Cities approved by State Council. The city boasts lots of precious historical sites like Dazhao Temple, Zhaojun Tomb, etc. Every summer during Mongolian's traditional festival – Naadam, lots of games will be sponsored, for example, Mongolian wrestling, horse racing and archery.
