A group of 14 international MBA students absolutely loved their trip to Tibet by train through Easy Tour China in late September, 2008
Dear Fisher,
Sincere apologies for my late reply. Coming back to school was quite busy -- but now that the week is ending I have some time to catch up on emails.
Fisher, thank you for all your hard work in putting our tour group together. It was an incredible experience that we all absolutely loved! We were fascinated with Tibet and all the beautiful places that we had the opportunity to visit.
Dawa was unbelievably great! We all became quite fond of him very quickly. He not only was an excellent guide -- but we almost felt as if he was our big brother. He showed leadership and dedication all along the way -- especially when one of the students needed to go the hospital. All along the trip he sang songs to us, told us stories about Tibet and his life, ordered for us at restaurants, taking us to a night club, gave us advice on where to go shopping, and kept good control over the group -- which is remarkable on its own given that there were 14 people -- 14 young people!
We all really enjoyed his company and thought he did an excellent -- absolutely excellent job --
The driver was great as well -- he at times went quite fast -- particularly up the mountain -- which scared many of us --- but overall he was a good driver and was able to get the bus out of a difficult situation in one of the town.
The meals were in gerenal quite good --particularly at the hotel restaurants
Thanks again for everything Fisher-- we really had an incredible trip~!!!!
-Warm regards,
Mayra

Two couples from USA thanked us for our terrific job to their trip to China including Tibet and the Silk Road in the second half of September, 2008
Charlie,
I'd like to begin by thanking you sincerely for the absolutely terrific job you did for me and the Millers. Your logistics were perfect in every case: hotel selection, time allocated in each destination, site selection, etc. I believe I had already complimented you on your prompt and articulate responses to my inquiries. Please feel free to use me as a reference.
A few observations, for your information:
guides
1. the system whereby one rates the guide and then give him/hrt the rating paper is ridiculous who's going to insult someone to their face?
2. here's my rating of the guides we used, from best to worst:
michael qiao in shanghai, lilly in dunhuang, rose in lanzhou, and dokan in xinjiang were all competent
the rest didn't have english experience enough to understand most of our questions, but were all pleasant to be with
3. neither dokan in urumqi/turpan nor abdul in kashgar knew that we had paid extra not to shop and seemed surprised/disappointed that we didn't shop/buy, etc i'm sure you told their boss but i believe that he failed to pass it along to them
itinerary
kashgar was mostly boring, i would eliminate it for any widely traveled person, there are better, if not larger, markets and there's nothing else to see there worth the time, in my opinion
hotels
good to very good, by the way, the hotel in lhasa did have large beds
Again, you were terrific from start to finish. Thank you soooo much!

The father and son have a wonderful journey to Tibet with us in late September, 2008
Hi Fisher.......it's nice to hear from you again!
Our trip to Tibet was wonderful. We came back to Shanghai last Friday and I left for Bangkok on Tuesday......that's where I am now, for some business meetings.
Guide: she was excellent! Very knowledgeable, gracious, and accommodating. We really liked her a lot and would definitely recommend Tibetan guides for your travelers, as they are naturally much more knowledgeable about Tibetan history, culture, and religion.
Driver and car: The driver and car were fine. It was a Toyota Land Cruiser. We changed the itinerary for the 2nd and 3rd days so we could take day trips outside of Lhasa. We visited Ganden Monastery and Drak Yerpa Hermitage the 2nd day, and Yamdrok Tso Lake the 3rd day. These were all very scenic and interesting places which we were glad to have visited.
Hotel: The hotel was fine. Very comfortable for the 2 of us, everything worked, and the location was excellent, just around the corner from Barkhor Square, which was very good. There is also an excellent cafe right next to the hotel which sells coffee and pastries and ice cream and has good internet access. It's called the Summit Cafe.
Meals: all good. We ate breakfast at the hotel and our guide took us to a different place for lunch each day.
So in short, we had a great time. I really appreciate the service you provided and your consistent responsiveness and flexibility. I will certainly recommend your company to friends onsidering a trip to Tibet.
Thanks again for all your help!

Two Americans had a really good time in China when travelling with Easy Tour China in September, 2008
Hi Ricky,
I just wanted to thank you for planning our wonderful trip! We had a really good time. The hotels were nice and in very good locations (close to shopping, food, etc). We really enjoyed all of the attractions. I especially like Xian and the warriors. When we met Jane in Shenzhen, it was very hot outside! I was not expecting it to be that warm. But we made it okay.
Thanks again!!
Shelley (and Janet)
