Dear Wei:

So nice to hear from you.

We are back home in Florida and are enjoying ourselves as we get settled back into our space and our lives. This trip was harder than our last one.... for a host of reasons that probably have a lot to do with Sept 11.

When people ask us for highlights, "favorites", or places that we feel optimistic about....we always talk about China. The warmth, the progress, the optimism...

We tell everyone that china was a real highlight for us (we don"t like to say "favorite"). It"s been interesting. Many people ask us about human rights in china and we always say the same thing.... undoubtedly there are problems but let"s look around us at ourselves and other countries. From what we could tell, the people are china in general are not feeling at all oppressed by their govt. They (you) are changing about as fast as is possible....

When we are a bit more organized, we will forward you some names of people who are involved with cultural preservation who might be delighted to work with you.

Do tell us more....

Glad we were able to add a dimension to your work. With any luck, we will be back there in the not-to-distant future and meet up again. perhaps even take a tour of minorities and other cultures that we had to cut short last time.

love,

elinor & rex, after trip into the mountains for minority culture preservation

Dear Wei,

Thank you for your e-mail. We had a great time in Shanghai and returned safely to London. Thank you for all your help in putting together a super trip.

Some friends of ours have asked for our help and advice in arranging a similar trip for them and I have it in mind to recommend your services. I am seeing them tomorrow evening and will put them in touch with you if you would like to arrange their trip.

Best Wishes

Brian

P.S Annete sends her best wishes

Good arrangement except for the hotel in Guilin where we made big mistake by putting clients up at a not-yet-finished hotel, though with top facilities. To be avoided in the future.

Dear Wei,

Hello and I hope the New Year finds you well. My husband, mother-in-law and I book a tour through your company in April 2002. (You were kind enough to meet us and have us for dinner in Guilin) We were so happy with our experience we have recommended you often. Now my parents are considering a trip to China in April (2004). If they go, I would like them to book through you the same trip we took (I still have all the information).

I am just checking that you are still there. If so, I will put you in contact with my father.

Best regards,

Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi

We have traveled extensively throughout the world and have always chosen independent travel. So, when we decided to go to China, although we were apprehensive and discouraged by our friends and family, we faced the challenge of going independently. Our travel agent did her best, but proved to be unfamiliar and not knowledgeable about China. Our best resource turned out to be the Internet. There, we found Easy Tour and Wei Wu. All of our arrangements were made through Wei. He customized our trip. In each location, we had private, English-speaking guides along with drivers who treated us like royalty. They were warm, protective, friendly and very informative about China, its culture and the Chinese people. We are still corresponding with most of them--they have become treasured friends.

We visited small and large cities and villages. They included: Shanghai (visit Zhouzhuang), Guilin (take the Li River Cruise), Longji, Longsheng (the magnificent rice fields shouldn't be missed), Kunming (see the Stone Forest), Dali (tour the Jade Belt Hiking Trail and take a boat ride), Lijiang (we were comfortable wandering without a guide) and Beijing (Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the phenomenal Great Wall). Wei chose first-class hotels, comparable to the best in the States. Wherever we went we were greeted graciously. The Chinese people were wonderful hosts. If you are planning to visit China, we highly recommend the Easy Tour staff. They will patiently work with you to design a memorable and personalized trip.
