Qufu and Mount Tai Climate and Weather

Qufu is located in the southwest of Shandong province, enjoying a monsoonal & continental climate with distinct four seasons. The average temperature is 13.6 degree Celsius with the precipitation of 666.3 mm. The average temperature of the coldest January is 1.4 degree Celsius, and the hottest July is around 27.4 degree Celsius (average). Rainy season is in July and August. The best time to visit Qufu is in the autumn (fall time).

Even in summer it is rather cool on top of Mount Tai. The average temperature in July is only 17 degree Celsius. If you are lucky to get there after rain in summer time, you will see the splendid cloud sea on the mountain. In spring it is a bit windy, sometimes dusty. In the fall time, it is always sunny, and the perfect time to see the sunrise at the summit.
