This 3-day Panda Tour takes you to visit the hometown of giant panda at Panda Breeding Research Centre to see the cute panda. You can also experience real Chengdu life by tasting local Sichuan cuisine and Chengdu street food at Wet Market, like Spring Rolls and Wonton, you can also make them on your own, visiting Renmin Park to see local folk’s life. Leshan Giant Buddha and Jinli Old Street are another two attractive Chengdu highlights, which make your trip more colorful.

Day
Make your way to Chengdu by flight or high speed train. You will be met and greeted by our local guide, then transfer with a private vehicle to your hotel. For the rest of the day, you can explore the city on your own pace.
Chengdu is a cultural modern city, still keeping numerous historical relics and sites, as well as interesting traditions. The people are friendly and the foods are well-known all over China. You can walk around the city by yourself.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES- Half-day trip to Sanxingdui Museum - The Sanxingdui site is a cultural relic of the ancient Shu (Sichuan). It is an important archeological discovery which extends the people's knowledge of ancient history and culture.
- Cooking Class at Pixian Sichuan Cuisine Museum - Sichuan cuisine is the most popular cuisine in China; if you prefer you can learn some classic Sichuan cuisine in a cooking class.
- Food tour - Chengdu is a wonderful food paradise for food lovers to explore. you can not only enjoy delicious Chengdu foods in this tour, but also explore some amazing street foods in this short trip.
After breakfast, drive to the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, which is home to nearly 50 pandas, and has just inspired the Kung Fu Panda 3 movie creators to portray a secret panda village. It will be perfect to see the pandas in the morning when they enjoy bamboo breakfast and have fun at the outdoor grassy land. Learn more about pandas, their evolutionary process & life habit, by visiting the Panda Breeding Center.
Drive back to the city, you will visit a local Wet Market. Where you can find some delicious local cuisine, like Spring Rolls and Wonton, you will have the chance to make them on your own. Afterwards, go to the Panda Post, pick some panda postcards and send them to your family and friend.
After lunch, visit the Renmin Park (People’s Park), a good place to experience local people’s life and entertainment. They enjoy their life every day by drinking tea, playing mahjong, dancing, singing in the sqare. If you are interested, our guide will tell you some basic rule of Mahjong.
Later, have a stroll of Jinli Old Street for an authentic experience of traditional Chengdu. Enjoy the tasty Chengdu delicacies and have fun in the teahouses, bars, pubs, boutique shops…

- Sichuan Opera - Sichuan Opera is another quintessence of Chinese art besides Peking Opera. You can see the famous face-changing show in some Sichuan Opera performance.

In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel, then drive about 2 hours from Chengdu to visit Leshan Giant Buddha, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is the largest and tallest stone-carved statue of Buddha in the world. The site attracts millions of people every year, including Buddhist pilgrims, making it something of a sacred destination and an ancient wonder in China.
After that, your guide and driver will escort you to the airport on time. Fly home and say goodbye to Chengdu.
