1. Giant Panda
The giant panda, home to Sichuan, is one of the most delightful yet also the endangered species in the world. Bifengxia Panda Base and Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base are the best place to see the fascinating creatures. There you can get an amazing experience with those fascinating creatures from hours' activities such us playing, bathing, eating bamboo or just walking on its own style and pace! Some kind of interaction between visitors and panda bear in the center:
A. Hug the panda and take pictures! Either adults ones and cute cubs are available!
B. Panda Volunteer Work started after the earthquake in 2008. The aim is to do more care and protection for panda bear in Bifengxia Panda Base. Individuals and groups can be arranged to do delighted volunteer activities including preparing the food for the pandas, feeding the pandas, clean their enclosure environment and so on. Visitors will have hours to watching the playful cubs or just provided hands on help to the Panda's keepers.
2. Sichuan Cuisine - Spicy, Hot, Fresh & Fragrant
Szechuan cuisine often contains food preserved through pickling, salting, drying and smoking, and is generally spicy. Sichuan pepper, garlic, chili and other spicy herbs or plants are commonly used in food which bring an intensively fragrant, citrus-like flavor and produces a "tingly-numbing" sensation in the mouth.
Famous Sichuan Dishes are: Ma Po Tofu (Bean curd with mince and chili oil), Kung Pao Chicken (Spicy diced chicken with peanuts), and Fish Flavored Shredded Pork, Twice Cooked Spicy Pork Slices and kinds of Hot Pots.
3. Jiuzhaigou - Fairyland
Jiuzhaigou is a gorgeous and breathtaking place in the northwest mountainous area of Sichuan Province. The valley named from 9 Tibetan villages around. It takes around 11 hours' drive to get there. It is a place of fantasy and reality; with high mountains, snow-capped peaks, colorful lakes and folded waterfalls forming wonderful natural wonder.
The best travel time to Jiuzhaigou is in Septemper, when the leaves turn color and frost comes.
