Day

Departing at 18:50 from Kuala Lumpur Airport, you will land at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 00:20am in the following day after the 5h30m flight. Transfer to the hotel and have a good rest. 

Meals: No meal

You will have a late morning start. The guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby and transfer to visit City God Temple and adjacent market for shopping. It is an active and indigenous Chinese Taoist temple full of Chinese cultural elements in its décor. 

After lunch head for Shanghai Museum, featuring eleven state-of-the-art galleries and housing China’s top-notch exhibits of bronzes, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jade and Ming and Qing dynasty furniture. Later, transfer to the Oriental Pearl Tower, and take the lift up to the 263m-high platform to have a panoramic view of the city.

Adjacent Market of City God Temple Shanghai

After breakfast, drive to Suzhou and explore Pan Gate, which is the only existing ancient city gate in Suzhou today and the only one that has land AND water gates. After lunch, visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden (UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site), it is the largest garden in Suzhou and is considered by some to be the finest garden in all of southern China. Stroll at Pingjiang old city quarter, you will see the traditional lifestyle of local people. Drive back to Shanghai.

After breakfast, transfer to the Bund to enjoy the fantastic view of old and new Shanghai on both sides of Huangpu River. Then proceed to Tianzifang, which is known for small craft stores, coffee shops, trendy art studios and narrow alleys. 

After lunch, transfer to take the bullet train to Hangzhou (1 hrs). Proceed to Meijiawu Tea Plantation – the birthplace of the Dragon Well tea. Have a stroll round the tea plantation, see how farmers pick tea leaves, and taste a cup of tea. Overnight in Hangzhou.

The Bund Shanghai City Skyline Landscape

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to visit West Lake, Santan Yinyue Park (literally means Three Pools Mirroring the Moon), it is the biggest island in West Lake, honored as the “No. 1 Scenic Spot of West Lake”. After lunch, transfer to Gongchenqiao old district, you will visit one of the three museums here, see the thousand-year-old Grand Canal (UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site), still in use right now. 

Stroll at Dadou Road Historic District, you will visit Xiangji Buddhist Temple first built in 978AD, and stroll along the street, taste different kinds of local snacks and a cup of refreshing green tea. Transfer to the train station and head for Huangshan. Be picked up, and transfer to the hotel.

In the morning, drive 80 kilometers to Yellow Mountain (1.5 hours). Take the cable car at Yungu Station to the top of the mountain. After checking into your hotel and have lunch, you will start this walking tour and savor up all the highlights on the mountain. You can walk around Celestial Capital Peak, Lotus Peak and Bright Top where they are the ideal places to gaze over the breathtaking seas of clouds. And visit the outstanding West Sea Grand Canyon. Stay overnight on the top of Yellow Mountain.

Huangshan Yellow Mountain

On this day, try to get up early in the morning to catch the magnificent sunrise on Yellow Mountain. Later, take cable car down the mountain and transfer to Xidi Village, one of the best places for visitors to see typical folk houses where residents have lived as they have for centuries. The village has a history over 900 years, while the stone lanes and houses are still the same as they were in Ming and Qing Dynasty. 

Transfer the to train station to head for Shanghai (3 hrs). Be picked up and transferred to a local food street – Wujiang Road to savor all kinds of snacks and dishes here. Later drive to the airport and board your AirAsia flight back home (departing at 01:35am)
