Day 1 Arrival in Beijing

Be met at the airport and transfer to your hotel at downtown.

Day 2 Beijing (B, L, D)

Lead a private escorted tour to go to the Tiananmen Square, located at the heart of Beijing, it is the world's largest city center square. Secondly, go to the Forbidden City, officially as the Imperial Palace Museum, was constructed between 1406 and 1420 by the Ming emperor Zhu Di and witnessed the enthronement of 14 Ming and 10 Qing emperors over the following 505 years. The Summer Palace comes the last one on the plan. Its 70,000 square meters of building space features a variety of palaces, gardens and other ancient-style architectural structures. Then at night, special and crisp Peking duck dinner is offered.

Day 3 Beijing (B, L)

Private escorted tour to the Great Wall, a series of stone and earthen fortifications in China which is a symbol of China's history and heritage. Drive back to Beijing and have a photo stop at the main venues of Beijing Olympic Games and appreciate their amazing architecture styles.

Day 4 Beijng - Taishan (B, L)

In the morning, lead to the Temple of Heaven, a complex of religious buildings, which was the site of the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest, now you can see the local Beijingers to do morning exercises here. Then visit the famous Taoist Monastery--White Cloud Temple which is one of "The Three Great Ancestral Courts" of the Complete Perfection School of Taoism, and is titled as "The First Temple under Heaven". In the afternoon, take train to Taishan.

Day 5 Taishan - Qingdao (B, L)

Take a cable car up and visit Dai Temple--a Taoist temple as well as the largest and best-preserved architectural complex on Mt. Taishan. The temple is where the emperors make sacrifice to the Gods of Heaven and Earth and worship the God of the Mt. Taishan. Then wander around other attractions there. Later, transfer to take an express evening train to Qingdao. Be met and transferred to hotel.

Day 6 Qingdao - Xian (B, L)

Full day excursion to Lao Mountain--facing the Yellow Sea, it is situated about 30km the east of Qingdao. With its summit of 1133 m above the sea, it covers 446 km2 and a well-known Mecca for Taoists. Drive back to visit the Pier--built in 1891, this man made pier stabs 440 meters (1,400 feet) out into Qingdao Bay, making it one of the city's most revered landmarks. Later, transfer to take flight to Xian. Be met and transferred to hotel.

Day 7 Xian (B, L)

Drive to visit Louguantai Temple, the place where tradition says that Lao Tze composed the Tao Te Ching and which is regarded as “No. 1 Holy Place of Taoism”. Then drive back and pay a visit to Shaanxi History Museum. It is an impressive museum housing more than 370,000 pieces of historical relics.

Day 8 Xian (B, L)

Transfer to visit the famous Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, which is one of the highlight attractions in China. The Terracotta army is a form of funerary art buried with the China’s first emperor in 210-209 BC and whose purpose was to protect him in his afterlife. Drive back to Xian downtown and visit the Old City Wall-- the most intact ancient Chinese wall in existence. It encircles and protects the ancient part of Xian City. Then have a walk at the Old City Quarters where you can experience the real life of local people and appreciate their architecture styles.

Day 9 Xian - Wudang Mountain (B, L, D)

Take an express bus to Taoist Wudang Mountain where Oscar Winner “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” was filmed. Covering an area of 300 square kilometers and with brilliant scenery, it was listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1994. After lunch, visit the Golden Summit--the Golden Palace of on the top of Heavenly Pillar Peak is the essence and symbol of Wudang Mountain.

Day 10 Wudan Mountain - Wuhan (B, L)

2 highlights today: South Cliff Palace comes first. It is known as the place where Emperor Zhen Wu found Taoism and flew to heaven. The whole structure - hall-pillars, beams, arches, gates and windows - is created out of rock. Secondly, go to the Purple Heaven Palace, standing on Zhanqifeng Peak, and built in 1413, it consists of several halls, including the Dragon and Tiger Hall, the Purple Sky Hall, etc. Later, transfer to take train to Wuhan. Be met and checked in hotel.

Day 11 Wuhan - Nanchang (B, L)

Visit Hebei Provincial Museum, It has a collection of over 200,000 ancient cultural relics, including the Sword of Goujian, an ancient set of bronze bells (Bianzhong) and extensive artifacts from the Tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng. The second destination is the Yellow Crane Tower--it is one of the most renowned towers south of the Yangtze River and enjoys the fame of “The First Scenery under Heaven”. Take an early afternoon train to Nanchang. Be met and transferred to hotel.

Day 12 Nanchang (B, L)

Full day excursion to Dragon and Tiger Mountain (Longhu Shan). As one of the most famed Taoist mountains and home to large number of sacred sites, it is well worth a visit because of its rich history, beautiful scenery and tranquil environment. Besides, you will see the mysterious Cliff Tombs here.

Day 13 Nanchang - Shanghai (B, L, D)

Transfer to take an express train to Shanghai, be met and transferred to visit the Bund and Nanjing Road. As it is known to all, the Bund is the waterfront to see newly-erected modern skyscrapers and aged buildings of the colonial period, while Nanjing Road is the busiest shopping street. Optional acrobatic show is offered at night.

Day 14 Shanghai (B, L)

Today we drive to the Zhujiajiao ancient town to see the elegant watery view there which is an outstanding site at Yangtze Delta. Drive back and visit the beautiful classical Chinese Garden Yu Garden which is just located in the heart of bustling Shanghai and the shopping area around it.

Day 15 Shanghai departure (B)

Transfer to airport and fly to your next destination.
