Mangshan National Forest Park, Beijing

Located at the east side of Ming Tombs Reservoir of Changping District, 40 km away from Beijing. Mangshan National Forest Park has the largest area in Beijing area. Mangshan park has four rare features: firstly, there are 176 species of trees on the mountain with 86% forest coverage. In spring, flowers in mountain are in blossom, in fall the smoke tree leaves are in red. The sceneries are gorgeous. Secondly, the biggest stone-carved Buddha in north China lies here, smiling to welcome visitors. Twelve Earthly Branches are remarkably true to life around the Buddha. Thirdly, there are the longest climbing steps in Beijing which are paved from 3,666 rags. Fourthly, there is the highest Ming Tower in the style o f the ancients and colored drawing corridor at the top of the mountain. You may view the scenery of water and mountain.
