3. How to apply for a transit visa for China?

Foreign nationals from eligible countries mentioned above can apply for a 72-hour or 144-hour visa-free transit in China with the following documents:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
  • Completed Arrival and Departure cards
  • A confirmed (flight/train/cruise) ticket to a third country or region
  • Valid visa for a third country or region (if applicable)
