An Austrian family joined a 12-day Vietnam trip with Easy Tour China from the end of September to the beginning of October, 2011.

The trip was excellent, we are now just in Hongkong waiting for our flight back to Nanjing.

Tri, our guide in Vietnam, was the best guide we had so far. His Englisch, his historic knowledge and his explanations about Vietnam in general were excellent.

The grand hotel in Saigon was ok, clean, good service and good location, inner decoration was a bit common.
The Victoria in Can Tho was superb, excellent service, very nice rooms and excellent other facilities.

The Blue Ocean ressort was also very nice, modern equipment, nice Spa and pool, very nice beach, however, though the service was very good on demand it was not as previewing as in the Victoria. Also other facilities as fitness, table tennis, billard, darts, etc were missing-they were available in Victoria Can Tho. Given the fact - what none of us knew - that there are quite many jelly fish in the sea, the sea access would not have been as mandatory as we thought first place. However, we had an excellent kite surfing school next to us - windchimes - where we took lessons. Thus , in the end you might have been right with your proposal of Victoria in Phan Thiet, but maybe then we would not have experienced the nice kite surfing adventure....you cant have it all!

Breakfast was excellent in Blue Ocean, the evening restaurant was good, however, we experienced a better one, in the Ressort called Sailing Club, the restaurnt name is Sandals.

The driver has been excellent, given the traffic condicitons! You were right, the infrastructure, i.e. Road conditions in Vietnam are quite desastrous, i.e. Underdeveloped...it took us more than 9hours to go from Can Tho to Mui Ne and 5h to return from Mui Ne to Saigon.

Overall, a very nice tour, with a very good guide and good accomodation...everybody is happy.
For the next time, when we go to the beach, we need more entertainment for the kids...just remind this if I shall forget...
