Hi Silvia,
How are you? I was also going to email you today. We just got back home yesterday due to some flight delays. Hope you also had a good holiday for 9 days. It was wonderful seeing you in Guilin. I am glad that we got to spend some time together.
I also wanted to give you some feedback. The tours that you organized in each city was excellent. I really appreciate all the details you did for the wheelchair, especially. All the car arranged were very good. Of course, it was a little difficult to get into the van in Lhasa, but I know you couldn't find a sedan car there. I really appreciate that you spoke to the airlines and did apply for the wheelchair service. However, the airlines in China need to change. I have never experienced any confusion as in China. The airlines really don't know how to deal with wheelchair services. They wanted me to put the wheelchair in the baggage, which is wrong. They are suppose to take it at the gate. The only airline that understood this was Air China. So, if you have any customers with wheelchair, then this would be the best option for them. The train to Suzhou was excellent for wheelchair.
As for the guides and drivers, all of them were good. But, there were a few that were exceptional. Mark and the Driver Lou in Beijing were excellent. Very helpful with the wheelchair and other things. In Lhasa, Jhalak was very nice/helpful and so was the driver, but they didn't seem like regular guides. They helped a lot with the wheelchair, but no too much knowledge on the sights. In Xian, Kevin was ok. In Chengdu, Helen was the best guide. She was helpful and also very knowledgeable on the history and sights. She was also very excited about being a guide. Julie and Driver Liu were very good too in Guilin and Yangshuo. The Driver Liu was the best driver that we had. He was just so nice and accommodating. I would recommend using Julie, Mark, and Helen to anyone in the future. These are the three people who should get bonuses.
Well, hope to hear from you soon.
