It is my pleasure to share our opinions about our Wonderful tour with your company through China. From the minute I started communicating with Peicy Wang I knew we were in good hands. Peicy was extremely professional, responsive, and helpful with many details we needed. The transportation, hotels, and guides she selected for us were perfect! She was flexible and arranged a tour WE wanted, adding in the Hanging Monastery, a priority for us. I Highly commend the work of Ms. Wang!!!
The sites we saw in China were Fantastic, beyond our imaginations! We saw too many Incredible sites, too much history to mention them all, but some of the highlights were the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Hanging Temple, Family Qiao Courtyard, Pingyao Ancient Town, Terra Cotta Army, both Grottoes, and Yu Garden. The Great Wall was my husband's top priority, but very sadly the day we went it was drizzling and foggy, so although our guide Jack got us safely up and down from the viewing site, it was quite a disappointment because we could not see further than 5 feet away. But that was beyond anyones control, and was the only disappointment of the trip.
All of the guides were Very good, Very helpful, concerned about us, flexible, and worked hard to make sure we had a Wonderful trip. We commend them all. We know English is a Difficult language, but they were all bilingual enough to provide very interesting information about the sites and to help us with the hotels, transportation, ordering in restaurants, etc. We felt that they Truly Cared about us, that they went out of their way for us. They are all very special, professional and personable people.
The drivers were amazing too! Very professional, flexible, timely, helpful, and Good, Safe drivers. The vehicles were comfortable as well. The drivers and guides were so very helpful with our Heavy luggage, getting us to the train and bus stations and the airport on time, even to our departure areas! This part was particularly important since we cannot read or speak one word of Chinese and could have easily missed trains, etc. without their help!
The hotels were ALL very good!! We absolutely Loved the Garden Hotel! The hotel in Pingyao was charming - beautiful grounds. The Anting Villa was also lovely, and Abbey helped get us moved out of the smoking room they put us in!
The breakfasts were all very good with Many choices and provided us fuel for the long days of sightseeing. The fact that my husband doesn't eat meat was honored everywhere we ate lunch. We were able to choose what we wanted to eat for lunch from a menu in several of the places, which we preferred. In some of the smaller towns the restaurant, or tour company (not sure), decided what we were going to eat, which we didn't like as well as selecting our own food. However, we realized there were less offerings, or a cafeteria-style set up in these small places, and it was clear that whoever selected what we were going to eat did it with care and tried to showcase specialties from their area. We tried and liked some new food, so it all worked out!
Your country is Beautiful, Mr. Yang, the people very helpful and gracious. We have traveled the world extensively, including Europe, Egypt, Thailand, Cambodia, Peru, and more. We are now "ambassadors" for China, and will recommend ETC Travel to anyone going to China. Please thank everyone involved for a wonderful, once in a lifetime trip!!
