Welcome to Tai’an! Upon arrival, our guide & driver will pick you up at Tai’an rail station and transfer to visit Dai Temple at the foot of Mount Tai. It is the largest and best preserved architectural complex of Mount Tai. The temple was also the site of huge sacrifices to the god of Mount Tai. The main building is the Hall of Heavenly Blessing (tian-kuang). It is one of the three greatest palatial buildings in China, the other two are the Hall of Supreme Harmony at the Forbidden City of Beijing and the Hall of Great Accomplishment at Confucius Temple of Qufu.

After breakfast, our guide & driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Visit Mount Tai. Taishan Mountain is one of the “Five Great Mountains” in China, associated with sunrise, birth and renewal, so it is regarded as the foremost of the Five. In ancient times, the first thing for an emperor to do on ascending to the throne was to climb Mount Taishan and pray to heaven and earth or their ancestors. Nowadays, travelers visit Mountain Taishan for the natural scenery as well as the historical relics left. Transfer to the Halfway Heavenly Gate, then you could have 1.5 hours trekking tour to the top of Mount Tai. (If you would like to save energy, you could also take cable car to the South Heavenly Gate). On the top, visit South Heavenly Gate, Inscription on the Cliff, Jade Emperor Peak, Sun rising Peak and more. After tour visit, take cable car down the mountain and transfer to Qufu.

Qufu is the birthplace of Confucius and the home of the famous Confucian Sites. Today, you will have a depth exploration of Confucius’s hometown. Confucius Temple was first built in 478 BC as a simple memorial hall and mushroomed into a complex one-fifth the size of Qufu. It was originally Confucius home and consecrated as a temple after his death. Confucian Mansion is situated to the east of the Confucius Temple, it is where the Confucius direct descendants lived. North of the Confucius Mansion, about 2km up Lindao Road, is the Confucius Family Cemetery (Kong-lin) – the largest artificial park and the best preserved cemetery in China. Also it is probably the longest - last family cemetery in the whole world.
After the tour, be escorted to rail station to catch your train to next destination.
