This 6-day Yunnan trip takes traveler to the less-visited part of the province: climbing up to the tiger mouth for a great view of Yuanyang rice terraces, visiting the nearby Hani Village for their old lifestyle and strolling in the old town Jianshui to experience a city of over 1,000 years history. And you will also have a chance to visit the world-famous Stone Forest. This will be an interesting trip for you.

Starting Point: Kunming

Ending Point: Hekou

Arrive in Kunming, be met and transferred to hotel.  

Drive to Jianshui, 150 km south of Kunming. On the way, visit the Stone Forest (around 100km south-east of Kunming), which is a massive collection of grey limestone pillars, split by rain water and eroded to their present fanciful forms. Check into the hotel at Jianshui.

Stone Forest

Visit Confucian Temple, the largest one in South China. Then go to Family Zhu Courtyard House, Chaoyang City Gate, and Double Dragons Bridge.

After breakfast, drive to Yuanyang, visit Jingkou Hani Village and their unique mushroom-shaped houses. See rice terraces at Tiger Mouth (Laohuzui).

View Sunrise if weather permits, then visit Shengcun Village and a local market, rice terraces at Duoyishu

Today drive along the Red River to Hekou, the small town on the China-Vietnam border. Then cross the border to the Vietnamese side. If time permits, you can pay a visit to a local trading market.
