Meet at the airport or station or your hotel by your guide and transfer privately to Tiananmen Square. The Square is the world largest city square with an area of 440,000 square meters. The granite Monument to the People's Heroes is just at the center of the Square, and you can view Great Hall of the People, China National Museum and Tianmen Tower while strolling. You'll have chance to visit the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao.
From Tiananmen Square, you will walk to the Forbidden City through Tianan Gate. This imperial palace has 600 years history, was home to 24 emmperors in Ming and Qing Dynasty. Visit three main halls and residencial areas of the emperor and other quarters of imperial families. Large amount of collections by emperors will help you learn Chinese ancient culture and history. After around 2-3 hours exploration in the palace, you will walk out from the north gate, Shenwu Gate. Transfer back to hotel and end this half day Beijing trip.
