Be met at the airport and transfer to your hotel at downtown.

Lead a private escorted tour to Temple of Heaven, a complex of religious buildings, which was the site of the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest, now you can see the local Beijingers to do morning exercises here. Secondly, go to the Tiananmen Square, located at the heart of Beijing, is the world's largest city center square. 

Thirdly go to the Forbidden City, officially as the Imperial Palace Museum, was constructed between 1406 and 1420 by the Ming emperor Zhu Di and witnessed the enthronement of 14 Ming and 10 Qing emperors over the following 505 years. For tonight, special and crisp Peking duck dinner is recommended (optional).

Temple of Heaven

A visit to the Great Wall is the highlight during your Beijing tour as we plan a private escorted tour to Mutianyu Great Wall today. It has the largest construction scale and best quality among all sections of Great Wall. In the old days, Beijing City is like a boxy bean curd or a chess board with each Hutong lying. This square layout not only influences Beijinger's way of living, but also affects their thoughts and actions. A pedicab Hutong tour is prepared for you to have a closer experience.

Mutianyu Great Wall

The Summer Palace comes first on the plan. Its 70,000 square meters of building space features a variety of palaces, gardens and other ancient-style architectural structures. Then transfer to take a high-speed train to Xian from Beijing. Be met and transfer to hotel at downtown.

In the morning, transfer to visit the famous Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, which is one of the highlight attractions in China. It is significant because the hundreds of detailed life-size models. In the afternoon, visit the Bell Tower, which locates in the central downtown and was built in 1384 during the early Ming Dynasty with a height of 36 meters and covers an area of 1,377 square meters.

Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum

Take flight to Chongqing, be met and transferred to visit Chongqing Zoo to see lovely Giant Pandas first. And then go to the Ciqikou old town, locates at the Shapingba District of Chongqing, is a 1000-year-old small ancient town standing on the west bank of Jialing River. After dinner, board the Yangtze cruise--it offers fascinating highlights such as beauty of Three Gorges, colorful shore excursions, and the mammoth Three Gorges Dam, etc.

On board, shore excursion to "the Ghost City" Fengdu or Shibaozhai depending on the schedule of the cruise companies. Since 2010, some cruise companies offer optional shore excursions during your cruise, please kindly check with your travel consultant for more information.

Today you’ll get a close look of the enchanting landscape as you board a small boat and cruise along a tributary to the Yangtze to explore the exceptionally beautiful Lesser Three Gorges or Shennong Stream depending on the arrangement of the cruise company.

Shennong Stream

Shore excursion to the amazing Three Gorge Dam: it is the world's largest power station in terms of installed capacity (22,500 MW). Later, disembark at Yichang. After lunch, transfer to airport and fly to bustling Shanghai.

In the morning, lead you to Yu Garden in the downtown area. It was inaugurated in the Ming dynasty and has a total area of 20,000 square meters. As a paragon of the south Chinese landscaping style, it is a must-see sight in Shanghai. Then go to Shanghai History Museum to take a look at Shanghai's history and culture. Then go to the Bund to see the old and new Shanghai at the each side of Huangpu River. Later, wander in Nanjing Road-- the world-famous shopping paradise nearby the Bund.
