Private escorted tour to the largest city square in the world, Tiananmen Square first. Then go to the Forbidden City, which is the largest imperial palace in China for 24 emperors' reign during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years. Later, move to Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's bless of the whole nation.

Private escorted tour to the Great Wall at Mutianyu section, the greatest of the eight ancient architectural wonders in the history of human civilization. Then go to Chang Tomb, the tomb for Emperor Yongle, the third emperor of Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1683), and his wife Empress Xu. Chang is an underground tomb, the first and the largest of the Ming tombs and reflects a similar conception of Imperial architecture. At the top of Chang Tomb, visitors can have a look of the other 12 Ming Tombs. Connected with the tombs, Sacred Road used to be regarded as "the way leading to Heaven", the highlights are the 12 pairs of animal stone sculptures. Pick up in the early morning and transfer to railway station for high speed train to Pingyao (4 hours). Be met and greeted by your Pingyao guide, then transfer with a private vehicle to your hotel.
This afternoon, you will be guided to explore Pingyao Ancient Town, which is one of the best preserved ancient towns in China and was listed as Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1997. Pingyao is an outstanding example of city for Chinese Han nationality during the period from Ming to Qing Dynasty (1368-1911), with a history of more than 2,700 years. It owns more than 300 historical relics. Today you will visit the famous sites including the ancient city wall - one of the four best surviving ancient city walls in China, Rishengchang Exchange Shop - China’s early type of bank - that offers glimpse into Shanxi (Jin) merchants' business, and Ming-Qing Street lined with numerous vintage shops and stalls, the yamen government office in feudal China, etc.

Enjoy your breakfast in the hotel, then drive about 50 kilometers to visit the Wang Family Compound. The Wang Family compound had been built successively during the periods of Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong and Jiaqing Emperors of Qing Dyansty (1644-1911). It covers a total area of 250, 000 square meters. It is not only an example of residential architecture, but also a museum of architectural art. Our guide will set the scene to help you better appreciate the fancy and exquisite carvings from tile, stone and wood.
Then head for Zhangbi Ancient Castle, the Castle is backing on Mianshan, facing the green field, rising 1040 meters above sea level. Zhangbi Ancient Castle is famous gathers historic relics and monuments, including remains from the Xia and Shang Dynasties, underground tunnels from the Sui and Tang Dynasties, tombs from the Jin Dynasty, theater stages from the Yuan Dynasty and residences from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Morning is free at leisure. You may have a rest in your hotel or explore the ancient town on your own pace. At appropriate time, our guide will transfer you to the railway station and see you off there.
