Arrive at the airport of Beijing. Our professional guide will greet you at the exit of Arrival Hall & transferred to your hotel. Free for the rest of the day.

Accommodation: The Great Wall Hotel Beijing (5 Star) - the former Sheraton

Take a full day trip to the largest city square in the world – Tiananmen Square, where solemn national flag-raising / lowering ceremonies are held here every day at sunrise & sunset. Then you will enter the Forbidden City, and explore its fascinating high walls and dozens of halls and courtyards. 

Then you will enjoy an a la carte lunch and have a taste of the authentic Chinese-flavor dishes (valued at CNY150.00 per person, included in the total price) at a top-notch local restaurant. 

The last stop is Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's bless of the whole nation.  In the end of today’s tour, a wonderful Chinese Kung Fu Show will feast your eyes at the Red Theater.

In the Morning, you will start your memorable tour to a jade factory & the Great Wall at Badaling Section – the best-preserved and the most visited section of the Great Wall of China. It is a symbol of China's history and heritage. We suggest you wear a pair of comfortable shoes to climb the Badaling Great Wall. And we specially provide red wine for you. (In consideration of no restaurant nearby can up to our serving standard, we suggest you have a big breakfast in the hotel and our guide will show you some restaurants for you to have fast food for lunch.)

In the afternoon, your journey will take you to the Sacred Road, which used to be regarded as "the way leading to Heaven". The highlights are the 12 pairs of animal stone sculptures, including lions, Xiezhi, Qilin, elephant, camel and horse. They were supposed to change guards at midnight. And there’re 12 human stone sculptures, including military officers, civil officials, ministers of merit.

En route to downtown, you will have a chance to see the Beijing’s most famous architectural landmarks – the Olympic Bird's Nest.

No.1 stop of today’s tour is the Summer Palace, Qing’s Imperial rulers’ favorite summer residence. Enjoy the graceful landscape and magnificent constructions here is definitely an unparalleled pleasure.

An a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in the total price) will be served at a fancy restaurant, and you will enjoy the delicious food in the great atmosphere here.

Later, take a 3-wheel rickshaw to Hutong (Beijing's traditional alleyways) where you will have a glimpse of the Beijingers' old way of life and traditional Beijing culture.

Then your guide will see you off at the airport for the flight to Xian. Upon arrival at Xian, be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for your own enjoyment.

Visit the magnificent Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum in the morning, which is known as the eighth wonder of the world and a museum to display terra-cotta warriors and horses in Tang Dynasty.

A special home-cooked a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in the total price) will bring you a great fun at a local home. It is definitely a good chance to know more about the real daily life of the Chinese. And you can learn how to cook Chinese food from the hostess.

Then you will visit the Xian Museum & Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was first built in Tang Dynasty for the storage of Buddhist scriptures taken from India by Monk Xuanzang and now becomes the city emblem.

In the evening, you will enjoy a visual feast of Tang Dynasty Show while taste the famous Dumpling Dinner.

Friendly Tips

In Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show will be closed, so the price of the show and dumpling dinner for tours in these months is not calculated. You will have a free night by your own arrangement.

After breakfast, you will pay a visit to the Ancient City Wall of Xian, the best-kept and biggest city walls in China. You may have a bike trip on the city walls (optional and on your own expense) and experience the old and modern Xian. 

Then head for Shaanxi History Museum, which boats a large collection of unearthed cultural relics of China.

An a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in the total price) will be served at a famous local restaurant.

In the afternoon, take flight to Shanghai. Be met and transfer to your hotel. The rest of time today is your own arrangement to explore the vitality and vibrancy of Shanghai.

Shanghai highlights city trip: Firstly, you will visit one of the four largest museums in China – Shanghai Museum, which has a collection of more than 120,000 rare cultural pieces including bronze artifacts, ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, lacquer wares, oracle bone inscriptions and coins. 

Secondly, Yu Garden, with 400 years' history, this private garden features traditional architectural style of Yangtze Delta. Then a silk store is arranged.

At noon, you will enjoy a farewell a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in the total price).

Thirdly, the Bund and Nanjing Road: The Bund is the famous waterfront to see new-erect modern skyscrapers and aged buildings of the colonial period. Then Nanjing Road is the busiest shopping street in Shanghai.

Lastly, you can take a short cruise tour along the Huangpu River.

Free at leisure. Enjoy western buffet breakfast at the hotel. And then you will transfer to the airport for your homeward flight or your next destination.

To avoid waiting for a taxi, we suggest you order a taxi in advance at the hotel reception. If your flight leaves from Pudong Airport, it will take about 1 hour and cost around CNY180 for the taxi; if your flight leaves from Hongqiao Airport, it will be at least 30 minutes’ drive, and cost around CNY50.
