Your 11 days guided China join-in group tour starts with a warm welcome by our professional guide. Be met at the airport and transfer to your hotel at downtown. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Accommodation: The Great Wall Hotel Beijing (5 Star) - the former Sheraton

After breakfast, you will take a full day Beijing trip with 3 highlights spots: Tiananmen Square comes first. It is arguably claimed as the largest public square in the world. Then visit the Forbidden City, the largest imperial palace in China for 24 emperors' reign during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years. 

An authentic a la carte Chinese lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in the total price) will be served at a nice restaurant.

Later, go to the Temple of Heaven, where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God’s bless of the whole nation and it is regarded as a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design. 

After today’s sightseeing, you will enjoy a fabulous Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theatre.

Forbidden City

Visit the Great Wall at Badaling section & a jade factory in the morning. Great Wall is the symbol of China and one of the great wonders in the world. And Badaling Great Wall is the best-preserved and the most popular section of Great Wall. To remember this physical exhausting but meaningful climbing, we specially prepare red wine for a group toasting on the Great Wall.

In consideration of no restaurant nearby can up to our serving standard, we suggest you have a big breakfast in the hotel and our guide will show you some restaurants for you to have fast food for lunch.

Then walk on the Sacred Road. It is affiliated with the Ming Tomb and considered to be the road leading to heaven. The highlights are the 12 pairs of animal stone sculptures and 12 human stone sculptures on both sides of the road. 

At last, today’s tour will come to an end after seeing Beijing’s most famous architectural landmarks – the Olympic Bird's Nest on the way back to the downtown.

Bird's Nest

The Summer Palace comes first on the plan. Its 70,000 square meters of building space features a variety of palaces, gardens and other ancient-style architectural structures. 

After a short visit to a pearl store, you will enjoy a delicious a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in the total price) at a fine local restaurant.

Continue your visit to the old Hutongs. Catch a glimpse of Beijinger’s way of living and traditional Beijing culture. 

Then fly to Xian. Be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for your own enjoyment.

Xian tour in-depth: in the morning, drive to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum - an army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at Emperor Qin's tomb since 2200 year ago.  

At noon, a local family in downtown Xian will wait for you. And you will have an authentic home-cooked a la carte lunch at the host’s home. Of course, it is also a good chance to know more about the real daily life of the Chinese, and learn how to cook Chinese food from the hostess.

Then you will set out to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda area – an elegant park and a perfect mix of history, Buddhism and peace.  

Right close to Small Wild Goose Pagoda and the Jianfu Temple is the Xian Museum, showcasing the precious relics of ancient Xian, Buddhist statue arts, Chinese calligraphy, paintings and jade articles. 

In the evening, feast your eyes on the beautiful Tang Dynasty Show after you enjoy the classic local food – Dumpling Dinner

Friendly Tips

In Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show will be closed, so the price of the show and dumpling dinner for tours in these months is not calculated. You will have a free night by your own arrangement.

Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum

In the morning, visit Xian Old City Wall, the best-kept and biggest city walls in China. You may have a bike trip on the city walls (optional and on your own expense) and experience the contrast between the ancient and modern Xian. 

Afterwards, you will fly to Chongqing and visit Ciqikou old town, which locates at the Shapingba District of Chongqing. It is a 1000-year-old small ancient town standing on the west bank of Jialing River. 

Next comes the luxurious Yangtze River cruise tour. Then you will head for Chaotianmen Ferry Terminal to board the luxurious Yangtze River cruise ship. The ship sails at 22:00. And it might be the most relaxed journey of your 11-day China itinerary.

Xian Old City Wall

Take a Yangtze River Cruise, and the ship will disembark at Zhongxian for an onshore excursion to Shibaozhai. Then back to the ship and continue towards to the splendid Three Gorges. In the evening, you will be invited to join the Captain’s Welcome Party by the cruise staff.

Today you’ll get a close look of the enchanting landscape as you board a small boat and cruise along a tributary to the Yangtze to explore the exceptionally beautiful Lesser Three Gorges & Shennong Stream. In the most beautiful Wu Gorge, you will change to a sampan to take a side trip along Shennong Stream for 3 to 4 hours, and enjoy the picturesque scenery. After that, you will return to the ship and sail into Xiling Gorge

Shore excursion to the amazing Three Gorge Dam: it is the world's largest power station in terms of installed capacity (22,500 MW). Later, disembark at Yichang. After lunch, transfer to airport and fly to bustling Shanghai.

In the morning, you will go to Shanghai History Museum to take a look at Shanghai's history and culture. Then visit Yu Garden & a silk shop in the downtown area. Yu Garden was inaugurated in the Ming dynasty and has a total area of 20,000 square meters. As a paragon of the south Chinese landscaping style, it is a must-see sight in Shanghai.  

At noon, you will have a delicious farewell a la carte lunch – the best Shanghai cuisine (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in the total price) at a famous restaurant.

Later, you will be guided to stroll along the Bund to see the old and new Shanghai at the each side of Huangpu River. 

You will also have a cruise tour along the Huangpu River. In the end, be transferred to the hotel and have a rest.
