Day

Landing at the Tianfu International Airport of Chengdu by AirAsia (1800/2240), you will be picked up at the exit of Arrival Hall by the driver, transfer to the hotel for a good rest. Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan Province, as well as a political and economic center in West China. 

Meals: no meal

Accommodation: Manju Hotel, Chengdu Wuhou Wanda or same class (4*, 4 nights)

After breakfast in the hotel, drive to Chengdu Research Base of giant panda breeding escorted by your English speaking guide. As the giant pandas' hometown, Chengdu is one of the best places to see these lovely creatures. In the afternoon, go and visit the Jinsha Site Museum, where you will obtain some knowledge of ancient Shu Kingdom 3000 years ago. 

Then proceed to Chunxi Road, a famous shopping area in Chengdu. For panda lovers, you can go to the Panda Post Office to get some souvenirs. Then you can also stroll at Taikoo Li to take some nice photos, where is an open, low-density urban complex with a number of fancy boutique shops and high-end restaurants. After dinner, transfer back to the hotel for rest.

Chengdu Giant Panda Base

In the morning, explore the People’s Park, where you will see the daily life of locals. Many retired people are doing exercises, drinking tea. You can even visit a Matchmaking Corner here, where the information of many single men and women are shown in public in aim of finding an ideal partner for marriage. Later, go ahead to the largest mosque in Sichuan Province - Huangcheng Mosque, which was first built in 1666.

After lunch, drive to see the world’s largest single building in terms of floor area (1,700,000 m2) – Chengdu New Century Global Center. It houses offices, conference rooms, hotels, IMAX cinema, skating rink, and even a big water park (5000m2 in size). Then explore the newly built Guixi Eco Park for a leisure walk, it is nicknamed as “the Central Park of Chengdu”.

After breakfast, drive to Dujiangyan and visit the 2200-year-old irrigation system (UNESCO Cultural Heritage site). It is an irrigation and flood control project, still in use today. After the Halal lunch, go to visit Dujiangyan Mosque, which was first constructed in late Ming Dynasty (17th century). 

Then drive back to Chengdu and go to Jinli pedestrian street to wander around, taste the local snacks, and experience the unique vibe of old Chengdu. After dinner, transfer back to the hotel for rest.

After breakfast, go to the 1400-year-old Wenshu Yuan Monastery, which is a Buddhist temple with many small souvenir shops, restaurants, food stalls in the surrounding region. There are many vegetarian food options here. Transfer to the airport and fly to your sweet home by AirAsia (1455/1945).
