Day

Meet your guide at the lobby of your hotel at around 8.30am in the morning and transfer to Tianmen Sqare privately. Stroll in this world largest city square, you will have chance to view the Monument to the People's Heroes standing at the center and visit the Memorial Hall of Chirman Mao Zedong. Afterwards, walk to the Forbidden City on the other side of the Chang'An Avenue. The 600-year imperial palace was home to 24 ancient emperors in Ming and Qing dynasties. Walk from Wumen at the south and out from Shenwumen at the north, you will visit official buildings of emperors like three main halls and residence area of the imperial families. Different imperial collections will help you learn history and culture of China. 

In the afternoon, continue the Beijing city tour to the Summer Palace, an imperial garden in Qing dynasty. The garden was first built in the year of 1750 by Qianlong Emperor,  is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design.The natural beauty of hills and open water seamlessly blends with man-made elements like pavilions, halls, palaces, temples, and bridges, creating a harmonious ensemble of exceptional aesthetic value. You will take a short cruise on the Kunming Lake and have chance to visit the grand theater in Deheyuan (Garden of Virtuous Harmony), which was  built for the Empress Dowager Cixi. 

Transfer back to hotel after the visit, and en route take a photo stop at Olympic Green to view the "Bird's Nest" and “Water Cubic”.
