Meet your guide and driver in the morning (around 9:00)/afternoon (around 14:00), and drive for approximately 50 minutes to Zhujiajiao Water town (about 50km away from downtown Shanghai). Take a brisk stroll along the ancient streets to discover many cultural sites.
Release Bridge (Fangsheng Bridge) is a five-hole joint-arch stone bridge with a total length of 70.8 meters. It is one of the largest stone arch bridges in Jiangnan.
The Qing Post Office, established in 1903, is the only post office in East China that has been preserved since the Qing Dynasty.
The Yuanjin Temple built near the river was originated in the Yuan Dynasty, dedicated to the statue of the Mother of God of Chenzhou.
Kezhi Garden, also known as Ma Family Garden, was originally the private residence of Ma Wenqing, a wealthy merchant. Admire the handwritten stone carvings of the Four Great Scholars of the Ming Dynasty. Climb up the Moon Watch Tower and overlook the whole ancient town.
North Street is known as the No.1 street of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with numerous local delicacies such as za-mei dumplings, begonia cakes, smoked green beans, pickles and dried tofu.
