Arrive at Beijing. Our Beijing tour guide will meet you at the airport & transfer privately to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Private escorted Beijing city tour to Tiananmen Square first. It is arguably claimed as the largest public square in the world. Then go to theForbidden City. This large palace building was built between 1406 and 1420, and it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government. Later, we move on to the Temple of Heaven, included in the World Heritage List in 1998 and it is a well-preserved Altars building complex.

  • The Forbidden City closes on each Monday, your tour consultant will helps you adjust the tour itinerary if it happens to be Monday.

Forbidden City

Private excursion to the Great Wall at Mutianyu today. The Great Wall is one of the great wonders in the world and the symbol of China. Mutianyu is 70km from city center and it takes around 1.5hrs from your hotel. This section of the Great Wall was built in Ming Dynasty was used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. You will take around 2-3 hours to walk on the 2.5km walls and 23 towers.

Transfer back to downtown in early afternoon and you will explore local Hutongs with some leisure walk and a short rickshaw ride through the small alleys.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then drive to visit the Summer Palace, Qing’s Imperial rulers’ favorite summer residence. UNESCO inscribed Summer Palace a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1998. A dragon boat ride is recommended if the weather is good. Have lunch at local restaurant and then take afternoon high speed train from Beijing to Xi'an. The train from Beijing to Xian takes 4.5hrs - 5.5hrs with highest speed at 300kmh (186mph). Arrive in Xian. Be met & transferred to your hotel.

After breakfast in hotel, you will drive out of downtown to the west of Xian to visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum. It was discovered on March of 1974, buried 1.5 km to the east of Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum mound. Awarded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, it is known as the eighth wonder of the world and a museum to display terra-cotta warriors and horses in Qin Dynasty.

In the afternoon, transfer back to downtown and visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Situated inside Ci'en Temple, it is one of the famous Buddhist pagodas in China. The main function of it was to hold sutras and figurines of Gautama Buddha that were brought to China from India by the seventh-century Buddhist monk, scholar, traveller, and translator Xuanzang.


Optional Night visit to Grand Tang Ever-bright City

Grand Tang Ever-bright City is connected to the south square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is a pedestrian street strives to create a one-stop consumer paradise that integrates shopping, dining, entertainment, leisure, tourism and business.

Check out after breakfast in hotel, you will visit the Ancient Xian City Wall, the best-kept and biggest city wall in China. You can either take a walk or rent a bike to ride on the wall. Afterwards, head to the old Muslim quarter near the Bell Tower. Take a stroll in the quarters to learn local muslims' current lifestyle and you will have chance to taste all kinds of savory local snacks.

In the afternoon, you will be transfer to station for high speed train to Chengdu, which takes around 4 hours.
