Day
Upon your arrival at Sanjiang rail station, you will be greeted by your private tour guide holding a sign with your name at the exit. Enjoy a private transfer to your hotel booked in prior. Your tour guide will help you with the check-in procedure

After breakfast, drive to visit Chengyang Wind & Rain Bridge. The bridge is more than 80 years old, this elegantly-covered bridge is considered by the Dong to be the finest of the 108 such structures in Sanjiang County, and took the local villagers 12 years to build. If we have a panoramic view of this area, it looks out over a lush valley dotted with Dong villages and water wheels. After crossing the wind and rain bridge, the Dong village is present in front of you. Walk inside the villages, you can admire the typical style wooden architecture, the ancient style bridges and drum towers.

Get to know the customs of Dong minority people. For example, in local people’s house, the first floor is for keeping the domestic animals. People only live on second floor or upper. Later, continue to visit Maopang Drum Tower. Mapang Drum Tower is located in Mapang village 28 kilometers from Sanjiang. It was built during the Qing Dynasty (1644 -1911), and went though several fires and damages over the years until it was rebuilt in 1943. It possesses all the typical architectural features of Dong drum towers. The tower is usually a place for villagers to hold ceremonies, recreational activities and greet honorable gusts. It is also used as a public meeting room for villagers to discuss the important issues of the village.
