Shanxi was itself a cultural centre of China. Besides the great cultural sites, the province also boasts unique landscape, history, folk customs, a variety of local cuisines as well as the great vinegar production. On this tour, we will show the attractions that beyond your imagination. You can see how strong the ancient buildings can get, how delicate Buddha carvings, frescos and paintings are and how splendid an ancient city can stay.

Arrival in Taiyuan, transfer to the hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to visit Jinci Temple, which was founded about 1,400 years ago, boasting a diverse collection of more than 100 sculptures, buildings, terraces, and bridges. Then proceed to Pingyao, you will visit Qiao Family Compound and Double Forest Temple before checking into the hotel.

Explore the old town of Pingyao escorted by your guide, including the visits to the city wall, Rishengchang Draft Bank and Ming and Qing Street. Free time at the rest of the day.

Drive to Hongdong County to visit Guangsheng Temple, the Rainbow Tower, Scholar Tree Park, and Ming Dynasty Jail.

Drive to see the Hukou Waterfall, the largest one on the Yellow River of China. After lunch, drive back.

Visit Yao Temple, the shrine of one of the three Saints of Ancient China, and Dingcun village Folklore Museum. Drive to Yuncheng.

Visit Yongle Palace, with 960 sq meters of fresco of Yuan Dynasty. After lunch, visit Pujiu Temple and Iron Ox of Tang Dynasty in Yellow river.

Hotel checkout in the morning. You can choose to head west to Mount Hua and Xian in Shaanxi Province, or head south to Luoyang of Henan Province.
