Both of the two destinations are located in East China: Shanghai – a dynamic metropolis, and Xiamen – China’s most romantic Leisure City. The city of Xiamen is full of colonial charm and coastal appeal. The famous Gulangyu Island and Hakkha Earth Buildings are top attractions here. The epic-size tulou dwellings are inhabited by Hakka people and bring a bygone world to life.

Upon you arrival, be met at the airport. Transfer to downtown by maglev, which is the first business maglev train in the world. It takes 7min only for the 29.86km distance and highest speed is 431km/hr (267miles/hr). In the afternoon, we will start city tour from the Yu Garden. The history of Yu Garden can date from the 16th century. Explore this wonderful mixture world of pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds, bridges and shrubs. After looking around the gardens you will have time to stroll at the adjoining old street at the Yuyuan Market, where there are various kinds of street snacks will make your children mouth water. Then enjoy the Huangpu River Cruise, which is a good way to let you have a panoramic view of the river and the scenery along Huangpu River.

The Acrobatics Show at night- It is not to be missed in Shanghai. Acrobatics is one of the oldest performing arts in China. Here you will see the amazing feats of balance and skill.

After breakfast, we will go head to the Shanghai Museum. It is widely recognized as one of the best collections of ancient art in China. Afterwards, we will move on to visit the Former French Concession and Xintiandi. The Former French Concession area was established for the French population of Shanghai, resident from 1849 to 1946, and the leafy streets still retain a European air. Xintiandi is composed of an area of reconstituted traditional mid-19th century Shikumen ("stone gate") houses on narrow alleys, some adjoining houses which now serve as book stores, cafes and restaurants, and shopping malls. Have a dim sum lunch and then transfer to airport for flight to Xiamen. Upon arrival, be met and transfer to hotel check in.

After breakfast in hotel, you will be met by you guide and transfer to take eight-minute ferry ride to Gulangyu Isand, which is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and is about 2 sq km (0.77 sq mi) in area. You will see the mixture of different architectural styles including traditional southern Fujian style, Western classical revival style and veranda colonial style. Take a walk on the island, and visit the famous Piano Musuem, Shuzhuang Garden, Sunlight Rock, etc.
Take ferry back to Xiamen in the afternoon and visit Hulishan Fortress. Located at the southern tip of Xiamen Island, Hulishan Fortress is a key national historical and cultural site. It was an important defensive factor during the war against Japanese aggression in 1900 and 1937. In 1986, platforms of yearning for return were built at the forward position of the fortress. The last spot of today is the Island Ring Road (Huandao Road). Driving or cycling along this road, you will find not only seaside views, but also the mountain views, historical sites and etc.

After breakfast, drive 3 hrs to Nanjing County. The first sport of today is the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, one of the biggest and best known tulou clusters in Fujian. It consists of a square earth building in the center, surrounded by four round earth buildings. Then transfer to visit the Yuchang Earth Tower, a double-ring five-line structure built in the middle of the Yuan Dynasty (1308-1338) by five clans, the Liu, Luo, Zhang, Tang and Fan. There are 270 rooms in the 18 meter high building, and there are still 21 families living inside. It has a nickname as "zigzag building", because the vertical wooden post structure is not straight and perpendicular, but zigzags left and right (some even at 15 degree angle).
The last spot today is the Taxia Village which was built in 1426 (Ming Dynasty). Taxia Village is considered to be the hometown of overseas Chinese and listed in the 15 Chinese Landscape Villages. It is also called Longeval village in Najing County. With its’ good environment and life style, the oldest person in Taxia is over 108-year-old. Then transfer back to Xiamen.
