Evening Boarding Paragon. Welcome Briefing. Departing around 9:30pm. Century Paragon sets sail for your cruise from Chongqing to Shanghai a distance of 2400 km’s. 

The onboard lectures of the Yangtze and the Three Gorges Dam Project besides other activities will be available for your morning entertainment. 

After lunch, taking excursion at Shibao Pagoda, a 12-story wooden pagoda which rests against the rock wall of mountain, where you can also climb up to the top for a panoramic view of the winding river, the village and the countryside is definitely a must see. 

Captain’s Welcome Reception – The Captain on board your Century Ship along with the entire management team invites you for a Cocktail Reception in the Lounge before Dinner.

The Crew Cabaret Show – Let the stars begin to sparkle, enjoy an evening of China going through Traditions and highlights of the Yangtze River area folklore.

Shibao Pagoda

Century Paragon will sail through the spectacular Qutang Gorge followed by the magnificent Wu Gorge before lunch. In the afternoon, you will have the excursion at the Shennong Stream, changing from your Century Paragon into a smaller boat you will cruise up the newly created waterways between well-wooded hills and sheer cliffs where you can enjoy spectacular sceneries and see the most famous hanging coffin.

Returning back to your Century Paragon, you will continue cruising in direction to Three Gorges Dam Side through 5-step ship locks.

Shennong Stream

After an early breakfast, you will join the shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site. Upon return to your Ship Century Paragon sails through the natural beauty of the Xiling Gorge and go through Gezhou Dam.

In the morning enjoy various onboard activities like kite flying, bridge tour and Chinese tea ceremony before Century Paragon arrives in Red Cliff Battlefield Site. 

Touring at the Red Cliffs Ancient Battle Field after lunch. The Red Cliffs is the ancient battle field during the Three Kingdoms period (1700 years ago). Located within the boundaries of Chibi City, Hubei Province, the ruin of Battle of Red Cliff is the key cultural relic preservation organ in Hubei Province. It has recorded a famous numerically superior campaign in the Eastern Han Dynasty between the Three Kingdoms period.

Upon return to your Ship Century Paragon enjoy dinner.

In the morning disembark your ship Century Paragon after your breakfast around 08:30 for a city tour to the Provincial Museum, one of top ten museums in China and well-known East Lake area. 

Return cruise for lunch and cruising eastwards.

Provincial Museum

After breakfast, enjoy a bus tour to Jingde Town, China’s Porcelain Captain. The whole day tour takes about 9 hours. Lunch at a local restaurant. 

Jingde Town porcelain is the pearl in the treasure house of Chinese art and culture. In its long and glorious history, a brilliant art and craft has been handed down and masters have been brought up in a number of dynasties. Jingdezhen porcelain has been formed its own four special features.

After an early breakfast, you will join a shore excursion to Mt. Jiuhua. The excursion takes about 5 hours. 

Mt. Jiuhua (“Mountain of the Nine Lotuses”) - Located in south central Anhui Province, Jiuhua Shan or “Mount Jiuhua” is one of the four sacred mountains in Chinese Buddhism. Local climate is favorable, making it a popular summer resort. Observant Buddhist make a pilgrimage to climb Greater Tiantai peak, regarded as Jiuhuashan’s most important, although not the tallest. The construction of temples began in the Tang Dynasty and were enlarged in subsequent dynasties. The Buddhist influence still remains to this day throughout this area.

Upon return to your Ship Century Paragon enjoy buffet lunch and set sail toward Nanjing.

Mt. Jiuhua

Nanjing city tour after breakfast onboard. You may visit the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial and a Qing Dynasty style bazaar surrounding a Confucian Temple. Back to ship for lunch.

Disembark 10:00am from the Shanghai International Harbour.
