You’ll also have an interesting tea culture exploration in Wuyishan!

Day
Make your own way to Shenzhen Train Station, and take bullet train to Xiamen (around 4hours). Upon your arrival at Xiamen Train Station, meet your tour guide and driver, and then transfer to hotel.

In the morning, transfer to Yongding with ‘Hakka” sightseeing en-route. The tulou buildings were listed as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites in 2008. You will leave for Yongding after lunch and make a stop at Nanjing village to view the Yuchang Tulou, Hegui Tulou. Arrives in Hongken Village of Yongding, and overnight in Fuyu Lou to experience the life in the Hakka earth building. The room is very basic with shared bathroom facilities only.

Hakk earth buildings at Yongding

Today, you will make guided exploration in the Hakka Homelands. The visits includes Zhencheng Tulou (dubbed the prince of round tulou, Chengqi Tulou, and Rusheng Tulou (built in a Putala Palace style), etc. Drive back to Xiamen in the afternoon.

Take Xiamen Wuyishan high speed train ((around 3hours)) in the morning. After arrival in Wuyishan City and have lunch, you will visit Tianyou Mountain (Wu Yi Mountain), which is the birthplace of China’s rock oolongs, and was listed as world cultural and heritage site in 1999. You need to hike up and down the mountain for about 3.5 hours. Overnight in Wuyishan.

Wuyishan

Enjoy the bamboo-rafting on Nine Curves River and immerse in the gorgeous scenery. It is the perfect natural surrounding makes it the famous hometown of Chinese oolong tea. In the afternoon, visit Dahongpao (Red Gown) and Water Curtain Cave for about 3 hours. You will see the over 350-year-old Dahongpao’s mother bush. Later go to a tea farmer’s house to taste special wild mushroom tea and enjoy the peaceful, relaxing time.

Transfer to Wuyishan Train Station and take high speed train to Huangshan (around 1hours and 15minutes). After arrival, visit Ink stick Factory, which is unique in China now. Learn how to make traditional Chinese ink. Visit the local Culture Museum and Tunxi Old Street lined with antique shops selling teas, furniture, souvenirs, handicrafts and local products.

Tunxi Old Street

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to take cable car up to the top of Yellow Mountain, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful mountain in China. Yellow Mountain together with Hongcun & Xidi Villages is a UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage site. Tour to Xihai valley and other peaks, and see the oddly-shaped pines, grotesque rock formation. We’ll also have chance to see the amazing cloud sea. Transfer to Hongcun Village.

Visit the pristine Hongcun Village in Yi County. It has always enjoyed the name of "a village on the Chinese painting". The village was wonderfully designed and constructed in the shape of a buffalo. We arrange you a 2-hour hiking around the nearby Tachuan and Xieli Villages to enjoy the intoxicating pastoral scenery. Afterwards, we will proceed to Xidi Village, located southeast of Yixian County. With hundreds of Huizhou style dwellings dating back to Ming and Qing dynasties, Xidi is like a Huizhou architecture museum. Overnight at Pig Heaven Inn.

Hongcun Village

Pick you up at around 08:00am, drive to visit Wan’an Luopan (compass) Museum. The Wan'an compass emerged at the end of the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368). It inherited China's traditional compass manufacturing techniques, and also formed its own strict production process. Explore the museum to find out how to make a traditional Chinese compass. Continually drive to Huangshan city. After having lunch, transfer to train station for high speed train to Shanghai (around 4hours). Transfer to hotel.

One day Shanghai city tour to: Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Xintiandi and Shikumen Museum, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund.
