This is a comprehensive China train tour starting from Hong Kong, from the cultural interaction of the West and East to the most beautiful places of China - Guilin & Zhangjiajie, where the surreal mountains and picturesque rivers await. Meet the legendary Terracotta Army in Xian, soak up the cultural atmosphere in Wuhan, then move eastward, getting Yellow Mountain shrouded in the mist and the internationalized Shanghai.

Day
Board your trip to China, flying into Hong Kong. Pick up and transfer to your hotel.

Pick up and transfer to visit Victoria Peak. It combine shopping, restaurants, and entertainment and features the oldest mode transport, the 112-year old Peak Tram and Hong Kong 's most unusual building and icon, the Peak Tower. Secondly, pay a visit to Aberdeen. It was formerly a fishing village. People can have a glimpse of boat-dwellers at Aberdeen Bay. Repulse Bay is the third spot, a relaxing sandy beach with a strong characteristic of local culture. The rest of day is for your own exploration.

Hong Kong trip

Enjoy free time in the morning until your guide pick you up and transfer to the West Kowloon Railway Station, board your bullet train to Guilin (3hrs). Upon arrival, climb up Folded Brocade Hill to obtain a panoramic view of Guilin City, combined with karst peaks, Li River and buildings. Take great photos when the sun sets.

Set sail with a cruise ship on Li River, one of the most beautiful rivers on Earth, featuring ever-changing karst scenery. If you happen to have a Chinese 20-yuan note, figure out the sight Illustrated on the note. Disembark in Yangshuo, a paradise in South China. Explore Yangshuo countryside on two wheels (if you don’t prefer the bike trip, your private vehicle is able available), to be embraced by intoxicating landscape: limestone peaks, farm lands, orchard, rivers… Visit a local family house if you wish. You may have drinks at the West Street at night.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

  • Impression Liusanjie Show – An open-air live show beside Li River of Yangshuo, it introduces the beautiful scenery of Li River, the colorful culture of the ethnic groups in Guangxi and the brave imagination of the excellent artists in China.

Guilin Li River Cruise


With the clean fresh air and amazingly beautiful surroundings, you follow a master to practice Taiji to feel relaxed body and mind. Then take a Chinese calligraphy or painting lesson to learn this traditional Chinese art of writing and experience more of Chinese culture. Drive back to Guilin and visit Reed Flute Cave located on the halfway of a hill. Inside the cave, you’re supposed to be marveled by various shapes of stalactites and stalagmites.

Board the bullet train from Guilin to Liuzhou (1h20min), and connect the overnight train to Zhangjiajie (about 11h30min). It is a conventional train, Chinese call it “green train”, running at around 100km/h.

 Kind Reminder: 

  • Currently there is no direct train or flight between Zhangjiajie and Guilin, you will make transfer at Liuzhou in this tour.

Chinese painting lesson in Yangshuo

Arrive in Zhangjiajie, transfer to hotel. After a brief rest, be escorted by your guide to visit Tianmen Mountain. Firstly, you will experience the longest cable car in the world (30 minutes), and see the stunning landscape of Zhangjaijie from the air. Challenge yourself by walking on the cliff-side Guigu Plank Roak with a glass suspended glass walkway.

Drive to visit Zhangjiajie National Park, take a cable car up to Huangshizhai (Yellow Stone Fort), then proceed to visit Suoxiyu Nature Reserve, enjoy an easy hike along Golden Whip Stream. Thereafter, transfer to admire World’s Highest & Longest Glass Bridge in Zhangjiajie.

Visit Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. Take Bailong Outdoor Elevator up to the top for an exciting experience and spectacular scenery. Walk around to discover ‘Avatar Hallelujah Mountain’ and ‘world’s No.1 Bridge’. Later visit Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, another highlight attraction in Wulingyuan Area. Take cable car up and down to save your time and energy. On the top, marvel at Zhangjiajie’s greatest concentration of stone peaks. Fly to Xian.

Zhangjiajie avatar mountain

Visit the most famous Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, one of the top attractions in China. It is so significant because the hundreds of detailed life-size models represent the army that triumphed over all other Chinese armies and who were the decisive factor in forming a united China. Make yourself a mini terracotta warrior with clay at a local cave house, and bring it home. Then admire the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built by Master Xuanzang during Tang Dynasty, it has been the iconic landmark of Xian.

  • Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show - A wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance. This is also a good way know more about the ancient Tang dynasty and some more history and art of that period.

Terracotta Army

Get in China’s longest and best preserved ancient city wall with the morning sunlight to view the city’s glorious past and amazing new development. You’re suggested to ride a bike on the mighty wall. Then go visit a local family. Share with the friendly host each other’s life experience and learn to make dumpling – a tasty Chinese lunch. Continue your trip, heading for Wuhan by high speed rail (5hrs).

Enjoy a full day trip of Wuhan’s cultural sites. Initially built in 223, Yellow Crane Tower is the iconic landmark of Wuhan. Have a leisure walk at East Lake, one of the biggest downtown lakes in China, featuring beautiful scenery. Get to know Wuhan and Hubei (one of the cradles of Chinese civilization) at Hubei Provincial Museum. Then admire Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, one of the most important and beautiful bridges on the Yangtze. Pay a visit to the Memorial Museum of 1911 Revolution. Then taste some local snack foods at Hubu Alley, known as a food center in Wuhan.

Move further east along the high speed rail, getting Huangshan, which boasts great mountain views and picturesque villages. Un arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to Hongcun Village. It has always enjoyed the name of "a village on the Chinese painting". The village was wonderfully designed and constructed in the shape of a buffalo. Walk along the small lanes to admire Huizhou style dwellings dating back to Ming and Qing dynasties.

Hongcun Village

Transfer to take cable car up to the top of Mt. Huangshan, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful mountain in China, featured with oddly-shaped pines, grotesque rock formation, seas of cloud and hot springs. Hike West Sea Grand Canyon and other peaks, and take in the amazing views of sunset, if weather permits. Stay overnight on Yellow Mountain.

  Kind Reminder  

  • Today, you will stay overnight at the hotel on top of the Mountain, please prepare a small bag for your overnight stay on the mountain. Your guide will assist you with storing your big suitcase at the food of the mountain.

Explore more of Yellow Mountain. Breathe the fresh air, enjoy the greenery, soft morning sunlight. Then get down from by cable car. Catch your high speed train to Shanghai, a metropolis known as “the New York” in China. After spending days in the serene mountain and village, you may have missed the bar, neon lights and night life. Explore the night of Shanghai for all of these.

In the morning, go out to visit Yu Garden, which has a total area of 20,000 square meters with an exquisite layout and beautiful scenery. Then go to the Jade Buddha Temple, which is the most popular Buddhist temple in Shanghai boasting 2 precious jade Buddha sculptures from Burma. After a visit to Shanghai Museum and learn the knowledge of Shanghai and appreciate some relics, go to the fantastic Bund, which located in the Huangpu District, the scenery line of Shanghai and at the center.

  • The Acrobatics Show at night- It is not to be missed in Shanghai. Acrobatics is one of the oldest performing arts in China. Here you will see the amazing feats of balance and skill.

Yu Garden Shanghai


Your guide and driver will escort you to the airport, walk you to the security pass. End of your China train trip and fly back home safely.

  Kind Reminder  

  • If you take flight from Pudong Airport, you can try the Maglev train from Longyang Station to Pudong Airport. It takes 7min only for the 29.86km distance and highest speed is 431km/hr (267miles/hr).
