Day
When you arrive in Ulaanbaatar, our driver will meet you at the airport/ train station. Transfer to your hotel and check in, the rest of the day is for your leisure. You can hang out here on your own.

Our guide and driver will pick you up in the morning and then depart to the west toward Karakorum, the ancient capital city of Mongolia. You can still see the ruins of a 13th-century metropolis, from statues and roof tiles to crumbling kilns. When Kublai Khan seized the imperial throne in 1260, the city became an administrative center. And then drive to through the steppes, arrive at the stunning sand dunes and rocky mountains. Enjoy the scenery on the way when you can see the changing of landscapes. After lunch, you can enjoy camel riding for 1 hour along the sand dunes and visit to the Ovgon Monastery Ruins by car. Tonight you'll be staying in ger camp, getting to know the nomadic lifestyle, and you can have a leisure walk on the sand dunes at night.

Elsen Tasarkhai

In the morning, we will drive to Karakorum, the ancient capital of mighty Mongol Empire from 13th century. Upon arrival, we will visit legendary monastery Erdene Zuu and the Turtle Rock and Phallic Stone, etc. around. At that time Tibetan Buddhism was proclaimed the state religion of Mongolia, Erdene Zuu was the first Buddhist monastery in Central Mongolia founded in 1586. We will visit Karakorum Museum after lunch. Historical relics and artifacts found in archaeological sites displayed in this well-designed modern museum. You can learn something about Yuan dynasty and the fusion of Chinese Han and Mongolian cultures. The museum is not big but it’s the best besides the one in Ulaanbaatar. Later, drive back to Bayangobi and stay overnight at the ger camp.

After early breakfast, drive to Hustai National Park, a member of the world biosphere network of natural reserves certified by the Man and the Biosphere Reserves organization of UNESCO. It is home to a large number of plants and animals. Here you can see a nice natural biosphere. After strolling around Hustai National Park, have lunch at the ger camp nearby. In the afternoon, view the wonderful Takhi, the wild horses and other wildlife. One-hour horse riding is a great activity in the park; you can interact with these beautiful horses and let them run freely to feel their power. Stay overnight at the tourist ger camp.

Hustai National Park

Today, we head to Terelj National Park. Upon arrival at the national park where we can see the impressive statue of Genghis khan outside the park, check in at the camp and have lunch. The park contains fabulous natural scenery with dense mountain forests and flat grasslands, which makes it a wonderful hiking place. There are also several exciting activities you can try, like horse riding, rifting, archery, etc. In the afternoon, you can visit Turtle Rock and Meditation Temple. Turtle Rock is the symbol of the park, and the temple is famous for its elephant-like shape and religious culture. Optional activities like hiking or horseback riding. In the end, enjoy your dinner and stay overnight at the camp.

We head back to Ulaanbaatar after breakfast with the stop in the world’s largest equestrian of a horseman, Genghis Khan. Transfer to the hotel upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar. Visit Sukhbaatar Square and Bogd Khan Palace Museum in the afternoon. Sukhbaatar Square is the center square of Ulaanbaatar, which was built to celebrate the independence of Mongolia from China. Bogd Khan Palace Museum is made up of seven Summer Prayer temples and a Winter Palace exhibiting the history, religious, politic, artifact development of Mongolia. Optional shopping for souvenir or cashmere if you want. You can also enjoy traditional folklore concert from magical Tumen Ekh ensemble in today’s tour. In the end, have farewell dinner.

Chinggis Statue

Free for leisure in the morning, you can do some exploration on your own. The guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation at the appointed time and transfer to the airport/train station. Go ahead to your next destination.
