After breakfast, begin your full-day tour of Taoism in Wudang Mountain. Start with a visit to Yuxu Palace, one of the largest palaces in the Wudang Mountain architectural complex. Originally constructed during the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty, it retains remnants of its ancient grandeur, including two palace walls stretching 1,036 meters, two stele pavilions, and the foundations of five inner-city halls. The Qing Dynasty-reconstructed Father and Mother Hall and Cloud Hall, along with the ruins of the Eastern, Western, and Northern Heaven Gates, add to the site's profound historical charm.

Next, delve deeper into Wudang Mountain’s blend of Taoist wisdom, historic architecture, and natural beauty. Take a sightseeing bus to Fuzhen Taoist Temple (Taizi Po), built in 1412 during the Ming Dynasty. Legend has it that the prince of Jingle State once lived here while cultivating himself, giving the slope its name – Taizi Po (Prince Slope). Stroll through a winding passage to discover the Pond of Tears and marvel at the architectural wonder of the Five-Story Tower.

Then, visit the Needle-Grinding Well, tied to the inspiring story of Zhen Wu, who overcame self-doubt and persevered on his path to becoming the God of Wudang Mountain. Continue to Nanyan Temple, a holy cliffside site where Zhen Wu is said to have ascended to heaven. Explore its stunning palaces, Taoist temples, intricate carvings, and cliff inscriptions. Conclude your day at Purple Cloud Palace, one of Wudang’s best-preserved palaces, featuring nine buildings and 182 rooms symmetrically arranged along the mountainside.
