Day
Arrive in Xian, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel.

Transfer to visit Chinese Herbal Medicine Market and gain knowledge about Chinese medicine. Then drive to the most famous Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, which is one of the top attractions in China and famous for its historical significance and uniqueness. Later, proceed to Bell Tower, which originally built in Ming Dynasty and used to house the bells that were sounded every morning to announce the time to the ancient capital’s inhabitants.

Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum

A visit to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda which is a less-visited spot but with its own unique designs. Then pay a visit to Xian Museum, as many as 130, 000 fine cultural relics are preserved here, most of which were unearthed in the ancient tombs from different dynasties before Tang Dynasty (618-907). Watch Shadow Puppet Play at Gao’s Courtyard House to appreciate its unique art. At last, visit Great Mosque and stroll at the Muslim quarters of the city.

Transfer to fly to Dunhuang, transfer from the airport to hotel. If time permits, pay a visit to Dunhuang Museum, which reflects the flourishing social development and cultural exchange between China and the West during the time when Dunhuang was a major hub along the Silk Road.

Dunhuang Museum

Drive 180km to Yadan Geo Park to see the spectacular landform, then on the way to see the Yumen Pass, which was originally built more than 2000 year ago. You can also have the chance to see the ruined Great Wall of Han Dynasty.

Visit the world famous Mogao Grottoes, the 492 cells and cave sanctuaries are famous for their statues and wall paintings, spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art. Then proceed to the Singing Sand Mountains and Crescent Moon Lake, try a short camel ride in the desert. Transfer to take an evening train to Jiayuguan. Overnight at the hotel.

Mogao Grottoes

Visit Jiayuguan City Wall, the first pass at the west end of the Great Wall of China; the First Beacon Tower of the Great Wall and the Great Wall Museum. These spots will let you gain a better knowledge of Chinese great ancient project of the Great Wall.

Visit Wei-Jin Art Gallery (mausoleum) and Overhanging Great Wall on a sharp cliff. Transfer to take flight to Lanzhou. Be met and transferred to the hotel.

Overhanging Great Wall

One full day trip to Bingling Temple, a series of grottoes filled with Buddhist sculpture carved into natural caves and caverns in a canyon of Liujiaxia Reservior built on Yellow River. Dive back to Lanzhou.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Xiahe, visit the Sangke Grassland and a home visit to a local Tibetan family. Overnight at Xiahe.

Visit the Labrang Monstery - the center of Lamaism in South Gansu, which preserves the best Lamaism teaching system. Drive back to Lanzhou to connect your flight or train to your next destination.
