Be met and welcomed by your Easy Tour China guide and chauffeur at the airport of Guangzhou. Transfer to check-in to you hotel well located. Spend the remainder of the day exploring Guangzhou on your own pace. On the verge of the South China Sea, neighboring Hong Kong and Macau, Guangzhou was one of China’s earliest cities opening to the outside world, and today known as the South Gate of China. To know China’s trading, modern development, as well as the old traditions and customs, Guangzhou is one of the best choices.

Take a history tour of Guangzhou, heading out to Shamian Island – the site of the former British and French Concessions of the 19th Century. Savor the unique cultural atmosphere when strolling leisurely around the colonial architectures: Christianity churches, cathedral, former HSBC, former British and French consulates…

Later, your guide will lead you to the Huangsha Aquatic Products Trading Market, with 270 meters of wharf shoreline and 250 shops, the biggest of its kind in South China. The market is very bustling, where you can see local sea food merchants busy working and customers buying their daily delicacies.

To avoid the heavy traffic of Guangzhou, ride a water bus through Zhujiang River for the city views. With 13 lines, Guangzhou’s water bus is popular among locals and helps to ease the traffic pressure. Then you will walk for a while along Guangzhou’s streets to Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, which is the earliest and biggest Han Dynasty tomb in China Lingnan Area, with over 1000 valuable cultural relics.

End of the day relaxing at Yuexiu Park, favored by local Guangzhou people.

Authentic China Tour to Guangzhou

It is a must to taste the “morning tea” in Guangzhou. Actually it is much more than tea – the locals usually spend hours and even an entire morning at a morning tea restaurant to savor various kinds of dim sum when drinking tea and reading newspaper (surfing online with mobile phone). Here’s your chance to join the locals and feast on the delicious dim sum. Then pay a visit to the Xiguan Mansion, a grand house of traditional Guagnzhou dwelling style with exquisite wooden carving, built by a wealthy merchant in late Qing Dynasty.

Ramble a clothing wholesale market to glimpse into China’s most famous clothing wholesale production center – Guangzhou, which, with the surrounding areas, constitutes the world's largest concentration of clothing production.

Catch your high speed train from Guangzhou to Guilin (2.5 to 3 h), known as the most beautiful place in China. When the night falls, your guide will lead you to have a brisk walk around the central lakes and watch the local people (mostly senior ladies) dancing in groups – a very common way of entertainment in China.

Morning time is the best time to see the city of Guilin. Walk along the Riverside Road to watch locals doing morning exercises (e.g. practicing Tai Chi, running, dancing, etc.) beside Li River. But on the other way, you will see hundreds and thousands of electric bikes taking the people rushing to their work place.

Escape from the city chaos to the tranquil Daxu Old Town built in 2 BC. Walk along the stone-paved road and through old gates, to admire the well-preserved wooden houses and arched stone bridges. Visit a local micro-brewery, or more like a family workshop, to witness the traditional way of making Chinese wine. It is rarely seen in China now.

Enjoy an afternoon tea time to sip local green tea at Yaoshan Tea Plantation Garden. Be embraced by a fresh and greenery world when setting foot on the endless tea farms. You can even pick tea leaves if it is the suitable season.

Drive back to downtown Guilin to visit Reed Flute Cave – a karst wonder and a magical underground house full of weird stalactites and stalagmites highlighted by colored lights.

Authentic China tour to Guilin

Drive for 2 to 2.5 hours to get to Longji Rice Terraces Scenic Area, reaching Ping’an Zhuang Village – a settlement for Zhuang people. Zhuang is the largest ethnic group in Guangxi, so making it Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Ping’an Village retains the traditions and customs of Zhuang, including the clothes, cuisine, wooden stilted building, humble lifestyle, and also of course the terraced fields.

Drop on the local families to chat with the friendly Zhuang. And walk around to take in the awesome views of rice terraces, which extend from mountain tops to bottoms, ideal for photography. The rice terraces were built by local Zhuang and Yao tribes hundreds of years ago, and bring good harvest every year. You can still see them working hard on the fields today.

Longji Rice Terraces tour

Enjoy your last minute of Longji Rice Terraces sightseeing and photography, and Chinese mountain tribe life experience. Then transfer to Yangshuo with an about 2.5-hour drive, where you slide into the most beautiful countryside of China, surrounded by dramatic karst hills.

After you settle down, enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a bamboo rafting ride on Yulong River. A tributary of Li River, Yulong River is even prettier. The local boatman paddles the way on the silky streams with the limestone peaks being reflected on the water, and along bamboo groves on the bank.

This morning go deeper into the countryside of Yangshuo. Cycle along the countryside roads and even farm tracks to take in breathtaking views of Karst scenery and idyllic village. China is an agriculture country, with large parts of rural lands. To know China better and deeper, you should explore another side of it and never miss its countryside and the authentic villages. Stop by and be invited into a local family who lives in an original house. The enthusiastic host will show you around its house and share with you the village lifestyle.

Experience yourself the local way of living by learning from the local farmers to do some real farm work – working on the farmlands like transplant rice seedlings or harvest peanut. Alternatively, pick fresh fruit off the tree at an orchard.

Authentic China tour to Yangshuo


Transfer to Guilin Liangjiang International Airport. Continue your authentic China tour, flying to Lijiang, Yunnan Province. You’ve arrived in the minority kingdom of China, where the beautiful thousand year-old towns, remote villages and more secret mountain tribes are waiting for you to explore.

Take a walking tour of Lijiang Old Town (Dayan) – the capital of Naxi people. Built in late 13rd Century, the town remains intact as a whole. The stone-paved paths crisscrosses and consist a maze; but you won’t be lost only if you follow the streams. The architectures here are mainly made of wood and exquisitely built. Step into the Dongba Culture Museum. Dongba refers to the traditional culture of Naxi, including its religion, writing, history, music and dance. Take the rare opportunity to learn writing Dongba characters – “the only living hieroglyph in the world".

Lijiang in Yunnan

Today discover what Lijiang looked like in the very beginning – visiting Baisha Old Town. Baisha was the cradle of Naxi group, and where the Chieftain Mu (the once royal family of Naxi) originated. It is also perfectly protected, yet less commercial than Dayan. Delve deeper into Naxi Dongba art and religion, visiting the masterpieces of Baisha Murals, created hundreds of years ago. Also visit a Naxi embroidery institute to witness the local traditional way to embroider. Attend a class to learn for embroidery yourself.

Head for Yuhu Village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It was the summer palace and deer farm of Chieftain Mu, and remains its humble look of brick or stone houses and with traditional dressed Naxi people. Take in the view of snow mountain, with blue sky and white clouds, reflected on Yuhu Lake.

Visit Shuhe Old Town – once an important trading center on ancient Tea-horse Road that extended to Tibet Southeast Asia countries, before returning to hotel.

Leave Lijiang for Dali with private transfer. Upon arrival, take a walking tour of the 14th-century Dali Old Town - the capital of Bai ethnic people - for its cultural streets, ancient gates and towers, iconic architectures, local street foods and the laid-back atmosphere.

Then drive out of the old town to admire Chongsheng Temple’s Three Pagodas initially built over 1100 years ago when Dali was a Buddhist kingdom. The mighty pagodas still kept many significant Buddhist classics and relics, and with the majestic Cangshan Mountain as its backdrop.

Thereafter stroll around Erhai Lake, one of the highlights of Dali, to take in beautiful natural sceneries and witness the life at the lakeside fishing villages.

Transfer to Xizhou Old Town, a settlement for Bai group. Visit the Xizhou’s traditional market, considered as one of the most beautiful market in China, at its peak time, where you can see locals dressed in colorful traditional outfits, and the elderly Bai carrying baskets on back. Authentic local specialties, such as seasoning fruits, vegetables, specialty snacks, baba (pancakes), and tools for daily use, etc are for sale on the rows of stalls.

Xizhou is famous for the largest group of traditional Bai dwellings, which you shouldn’t miss. The courtyards are mainly painted in white (symbolic color of Bai), with gray and blue, exquisitely-designed eaves. Be invited into a local Bai family to chat with the host and get to know about local life and traditions. Learn Bai’s tie-dye technique, and make yourself a beautiful tie-dye cloth.

Drive to Lijiang to catch your flight to Chengdu, the famous hometown of giant panda.

As you know a close contact with giant panda, an iconic symbol of China, is a must-do in Chengdu. The morning time is the best time for this special visit, as the “hosts” are most active, when eating their breakfast, playing naughtily, basking on the grassland with soft sunlight, or climbing in trees…

This afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to know and learn Traditional Chinese Medicine at a local TCM center. The doctors speak fluently English and help you to get a better understanding of TCM philosophy, health consultation, and treatments such as acupuncture, tuina massage, moxibustion, and cupping.
