Depart Chengdu temporarily, as you embark your flight to Jiuzhaigou. Upon arrival at the Jiuzhi Huanglong Airport, you will be transferred to visit Huanglong National Park, which is the only well-protected plateau wetland in China and especially famous for its colorful lakes. Guided by your guide to walk around, discovering the “Yellow Dragon Valley”, Huanglong’s calcified lakes and waterfalls, Quaternary glacial remains, hot springs and witness the abundant wildlife. According to the statistics, there are about 3400 lakes, hidden in the valley and forest, reflecting the towering snow-capped peaks and various kinds of trees and flowers.
After the visit of Huanglong, transfer to your hotel in Jiuzhaigou.
Important Notes:
- There are currently only the Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou later afternoon and evening flights are in operation. So we may change your itinerary so as to suit your flight schedule.
- High altitude tips: Huanglong is at an elevation of 1700m-5800m (5577ft-19029ft). And the scenic area for tourists is around 3000m (9843ft), so travelers should be aware of the altitude sickness. Follow your guide’s instructions, move slowly and don’t do any strenuous exercise.

Today, spend the full day touring Jiuzhaigou National Park located at 1900m-3100m (6234ft-10171ft) above sea level, which has been nominated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and a “Green Globe 21”. Explore the most of JIuzhaigou to take in the beautiful scenery of water, valley and plants.
Escorted by our guide, you will take the local sightseeing bus to visit the highlights of Jiuzhaigou and Rize Valley sites including Panda Lake, Five Flowers Lake, and Pearl Shoals, and then walk to the Pearl Shoals Waterfall (about 1 km). Have you lunch at tourist Center in Nuorilang. After that, continue to visit Zechawa Valley to see Long Lake, and walk about 1.2 km to take photos of Five Colored Pool. It is a wonderful nature trip like no other and you’ll feel relaxed and refreshed with the intoxicating surrounding and fresh air. Later, walk for another 1 km to the parking lot to board the bus to leave.
Important Notes:
- After the 2017 earthquake, Jiuzhaigou National Park has been partially reopens in late 2019. The itinerary may be adjusted to follow the latest regulations of the scenic area.

After breakfast at hotel, you’ll be picked up and transferred to airport, flying back to Chengdu. Continue the trip to learn history of the area – as you may have known Sichuan (Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan) was the former site of Shu Kingdom (221—263). Wuhou Temple is a most important site of the era and showcases the story between Shu Kingdom’s king and prime minister. It is the only temple in ancient China what to worship both emperor and his courtier. Later, have a stroll of Jinli Old Street for an authentic experience of traditional Chengdu and Sichuan. Here you will find ancient alleys, former residence of celebrity, ancient official’s dwelling house, hostels, exotic shops and food stalls.

This morning is time to visit Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, home to about 50 pandas. Learn the history and scientific knowledge of this cutest creature, knowing their evolutionary process & life habit. There’s also chance to visit the panda delivery room. Also see the pandas playing on the grass playground. Some of them are really naughty! Then visit Wenshu Temple, ancient and beautiful, looking like a classic garden rather than a temple. You can see people praying and burning joss sticks here. Later, visit Renmin Park (People’s Park), a good place to witness local people’s life and entertainment. They enjoy their life every day by drinking tea, playing mahjong, dancing, singing and, surprisingly digging ear wax. Then if you wish, sip a cup of tea, experience local tea culture, at a tea house.

- Sichuan Hot Pot or Sichuan cuisine Dinner – if you love spicy foods or you’re a foodie, taste local dishes like stewed beancurd with minced pork in pepper sauce, shredded pork with garlic sauce, boiled fish, or the fabulous hot pot.
