Day
Arrive in Shanghai, our guide will meet you at the airport & transfer to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

After breakfast your guide will meet you at your hotel and you will set out together for a guided tour of Shanghai. First you will head to the Shanghai Museum, which is widely recognized as one of the best collections of ancient art in China. Afterwards you will hop on the metro to visit the Former French Concession and Xintiandi. The Former French Concession area was established for the French population of Shanghai, resident from 1849 to 1946, and the leafy streets still retain a European air. Xintiandi is composed of an area of reconstituted traditional mid-19th century Shikumen ("stone gate") houses on narrow alleys, some adjoining houses which now serve as book stores, cafes and restaurants, and shopping malls.

After lunch you will explore the Bund, Shanghai's famous waterfront area on the western bank of the Huangpu River. Your guide will take you into historical buildings and tell you stories about their past. Finally, take metro to visit the Shanghai Tower. Take elevator up to the highest building in Shanghai, you will see the Oriental Pearl TV Tower below you and get a bird's-eye view of the entire city.

The Acrobatics Show at night- It is not to be missed in Shanghai. Acrobatics is one of the oldest performing arts in China. Here you will see the amazing feats of balance and skill.

In the morning, your guide and driver will transfer you to the rail station to catch the high speed train to Mt. Wuyi. The train will take 3 to 3.5 hours, arrive in Mt. Wuyi, your local private guide will greet you at the exit and transfer you to the hotel. After a short rest and fresh up, we shall ride the bamboo raft down the Nine Bends River through the “Oolong Mountains and Cliffs” of the Tianyou Mointains. This is an essential experience to be able to see the terrain that formed these teas so many years ago.

Mount Wuyi is famous for its crystal clear waters and its amazingly beautiful Danxia landform. After breakfast, we will visit the Heavenly Tour Peak, the most beautiful portion of the Nine-bend River overlooking the spectacular steep Danxia land formation. After lunch, we will go to the Dahongpao (Red Gown) to see the Dahongpao’s mother bush, which is over 350 years old. Due to its rarity, Dahongpao Tea is considered as the King of Tea. And then have a trek to the Water Curtain Cave, this can be a very enjoyable trekking in the summer, the view is beautiful and the waterfalls are cool.

Take in the view of Danxia landscape on Wuyi Mountain

This morning we shall visit the historically and culturally important Xiamei Village. Many houses there are more than 300 years old and still well preserved as they were long time ago. In 2005, Xiamei Village has been honored as one of the "the Famous Historic and Cultural Villages in China" by the Government. Besides, Xiamei Village is also widely known for its tea culture. Here we shall visit the Peach Blossom tea house for Xiamei Village and local area tea for assessment and evaluation.

Later, take high speed train/flight to next destination. End of your5-day Shanghai Wuyishan Tour.
