This morning, meet your Easy Tour China’s Beijing local guide and transfer to visit Forbidden City. Pass by Tiananmen Square, cross Jinshui River, the old city moat, to enter the enormous Forbidden City, or known as the Palace Museum today. Home to 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasty for nearly 500 years, it is world’s largest wooden architecture complex in a red and golden color, symbolizing the dignity, power and grandeur of royal sovereign. Forbidden City is also a treasure trove of China’s numerous cultural relics.

Later, stand in owe before Temple of Heaven, a mysterious holy site for ancient kings to connect with heaven and gods. It is also a great architectural masterpiece and was built according to Chinese theology of nature and religious philosophy. However, the park in nowadays also benefits to local people who enjoy doing morning exercise, dancing, playing chess, playing Tai Chi here.

Dinner will be prepared at a popular local restaurant for Beijing Roasted Duck.

Forbidden City

Journey into the Great Wall of China at two of the most beautiful sections – Jinshanling and Simatai. The 10.5-km Jinshanling stretches from Gubeikou Pass in the west, features 70 watch towers and beacon towers, and breathtaking views. Hike on the grand wall for 1- 3 hours to discover many historical sites and ruins, and know its back stories from your expert guide, who will also show you the best places to take photos. You just might not have known that Jinshanling is the best part of Great wall for photography.

Thereafter, drive to Gubei Water Town, where the Simatai Great Wall is located. Take cable car up Simatai, when the sun set slowly and the sky is hung with rosy clouds (if weather permits). Then the and watch towers are lighted with little lamps, resembling millions of stars shinning upon Simatai, the most peculiar, precipitous and deepest Great Wall. Enjoy the memorable tranquility and peace.

Stay overnight in Gubei Water Town at the foot of Simatai.

Jinshanling Great Wall hiking

The morning hours is free at leisure, for your own exploration in the romantic ancient Gubei Water Town to discover the cultural sites, traditional handicraft shops, join in the fun activities and taste some local foods and snacks.

Then drive back to downtown Beijing to explore the history and culture-rich hutong on vintage pedicab or on your feet. The narrow, winding alleyways crisscross and form the old town of Beijing, where you can find the Chinese capital’s cultural roots and discover a wealth of historical sites and secret corners. At the traditional courtyard house, local Beijinger’s live a busy and peaceful life. You may see they are wearing pajama gossiping, have their hair cut at the open air, children playing the “old games”, shuttlecock kicking, diabolo…

Your 3-day Beijing and Great Wall tour ends after you’re escorted back to your hotel.

Datong: China's capital for three separate dynasties with amazing historical and cultural heritages. Add 3-4 days to visit the spectacular Yungang Grottoes (UNESCO World Heritage) and the interesting Hanging Temple built into a cliff.

Chengdu: the lovely hometown of giant panda, the city is also famous for its cuisine, tea and history. Extend your Beijing tour to Chengdu for another 2-4 days for panda base, Jiuzhaigou, Mt. Emei, Leshan Giant Buddha.
