Upon arrival, our local guide and driver will pick you up to the hotel selected. Free at leisure the rest of the day. You can take a leisure walk around your hotels.
First, your guide will take you to the Memorial of the Nanjing Massacre. It was built in 1985 by the Nanjing Municipal Government in memory of the 300,000 victims who lost their lives during the Nanjing Massacre made by Japanese army in 1937-1938. Then visit the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. It is the burial site of the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang. After that, go to the Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the last resting place of the "Father of Modern China" both in mainland China and in Taiwan. Today’s sightseeing will ends at the Confucius Temple (Fuzimiao), it was a place to worship and consecrate Confucius, the great philosopher and educator of ancient nation. The beautiful Qinhuai River and bustling commercial streets nearby will make your trip more memorable.

This morning, you will be transferred to rail station and take a bullet train to Shanghai (1 hour). Upon you arrival, be met and transferred to hotel.

After a short rest and fresh up, you will visit Shanghai Museum. It is widely recognized as one of the best collections of ancient art in China. The bronze collection is considered the best in the world, with other first-rate exhibits of sculpture, jade, calligraphy, painting, and Ming and Qing dynasty furniture and minority art. Then visit The Bund, the must see place in Shanghai, which is the famous water front to see new-erect modern skyscrapers and aged buildings of the colonial period. Enjoy the Huangpu River Cruise, which is a good way to let you have a panoramic view of the river and the scenery along Huangpu River.

After breakfast, we will transfer to visit the Yu Garden, which was built at Ming Dynasty. It used to be a private garden with 400 years' history; it features traditional architectural style of Yangtze Delta. After that, visit Old Quarters of Town God Temple (Yuyuan Market), where you can look at traditional way of people’s life, the houses, markets and people. Enjoy Dim-sum lunch. It is a very popular meal in China, and it often associate with teahouse culture in Hong Kong and Guangdong.

After lunch, you will visit the Xintiandi, an affluent car-free shopping, eating and entertainment district of Shanghai. The district is composed of an area of reconstituted traditional mid-19th century shikumen ("stone gate") houses on narrow alleys. Visit the Former French Concession, the area of Shanghai once designated for the French, consisting of today's Luwan and Xuhui Districts. Visit the Shanghai Tower, the tallest building in China, to end today’s sightseeing.
