In the morning, meet your guide at hotel and then transfer to Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, which is one of the top attractions in China and famous for its historical significance and uniqueness. Spend about 2 hours there for the visiting. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will be taken to visit a family who still leave in Cave Dwelling. The cave dwelling is an ancient form residence at the Loess Plateau in northwestern China. Afterwards driver back to Xi’an city. The Moslem Street can’t be missed, where a variety of local flavor snacks will surely dazzle one’s eyes. As long as one can think of, he or she can find the mouthwatering food in the cuisine paradise. The title “A Street for Gourmet” is fully deserved. You will also have chance to view the famous Bell Tower and Drum Tower near the Muslim Quarters.

Visit the Ancient City Wall this morning, where you can take a walk or rent a bike to ride on the wall built 650 years ago. Later, you will be transferred to airport for your flight to Zhangye. Upon arrival, be greeted by your private guide in Zhangye, and transfer to hotel. The rest time of this day is free for your own exploration.
Zhangye is located in the western part of Gansu Province, in central Hexi Corridor. It was once an important commercial port, with the same status of present Shanghai, on the ancient Silk Road.

Have one day to visit highlights of Zhangye with the company of your private guide. The first stop is Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park. Zhangye Danxia is known for the unusual colors of the rocks, which are smooth, sharp and several hundred meters tall. They are the result of deposits of sandstone and other minerals that occurred over 24 million years. Wind, rain, and time then sculpted extraordinary shapes, including towers, pillars, and ravines, with varying colors, patterns, and sizes.
Here you will marvel at its majestic table mountain terrain and dynamic, dramatic colors. Get ready for taking some breathtaking photos. Then head for Dafo Temple (Giant Buddha Temple). As one of the most famous Buddhist temples in China, it’s notable for its gigantic reclining Buddha statue made around 1100 during the Western Xia and Song dynasty, which is thirty-five meters long.
The last stop is the Museum of Zhangye. There are several display themes inside the museum. The exhibition hall covers a total area of 894 square meters, displaying more than 7,000 pieces of cultural relics of various types. Through all kinds of cultural relics, the local characteristics are highlighted as far as possible from different sides, reflecting the long history and splendid history and culture of Zhangye.
