Day

Your personal guide will meet you at the airport or at the entrance of the train station. Transfer to the hotel in the downtown city of Chongqing.

Chongqing is a sprawling metropolis in southwestern China, nicknamed as “Cyberpunk City” or “the 8D City” in this country. It is renowned for its dramatic skyscrapers nestled among mountains, hot pot cuisine, and the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. The city offers unique attractions like the ancient Dazu Rock Carvings, the bustling Jiefangbei district, and stunning night views from its hilly terrain. Its vibrant culture, spicy food, and proximity to the Three Gorges make it a captivating destination for travelers.

Begin your Chongqing adventure by delving into its rich history at the Huguang Guild Hall along the Yangtze River, where you can explore the region's economic and cultural past. Stroll through Hongyadong, a once-residential area now bustling with shops and local snacks, and visit Eling Park to observe locals enjoying games like Mahjong and Chinese chess while uncovering traces of history in former embassies and Chiang Kai-shek's old mansion.

Later, enjoy the iconic sight of a light-rail train passing through a residential building at Liziba, and take the thrilling cable car ride across the Yangtze River, before wandering Longmenhao Old Street to experience the charm of the Republic of China era (1930s-40s). Cap off your day with an authentic hot pot dinner.

Huguang Guild Hall Chongqing

After breakfast, drive 2.5-3 hrs to Wulong in the morning, which is famous for Wulong Karst Geopark (part of the South China Karst UNESCO World Heritage Site). One fighting scene in Hollywood blockbuster Transformer 4 was filmed here.

Please make sure you wear comfy shoes as there will be lots of walking in Wulong.

Your exploration begins with a scenic bus ride from Wulong Xiannushan Tourist Center to the breathtaking Three Natural Bridges, a spectacle of nature as Asia's grandest natural bridge formation. Descend into the valley by elevator, where you'll be enveloped by the majesty of Karst mountains, hidden caves, and shimmering waterfalls. Embark on a memorable hike, traversing the iconic Tianlong Bridge, Tianfu Official Post, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge.

After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Xiannushan Town. The rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the serene, picturesque surroundings of Xiannushan Town.

Chongqing Wulong Tiankeng Natural Bridges

After breakfast, you will drive to visit Furong Cave. Alongside the Mammoth Cave in the United States and the Clamouse Cave in France, it stands as one of the world’s largest and most intricate cave systems.

Begin with a stunning 10-minute cable car ride offering panoramic views of the emerald Wujiang River winding through lush hills. Then, explore the massive 2,700-meter-long limestone cave, shaped by nature over 1.2 million years, and marvel at its 70+ rare stalactite formations, resembling waterfalls, pillars, arrows, palaces, and pagodas, beautifully illuminated or displayed in their natural state.

Later, drive 2.5-3 hours back to Chongqing. Free time at leisure.

Chongqing Wulong Furong Cave

After breakfast, drive 2 hours to the Dazu Rock Carvings. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, the 1300-year-old Dazu Rock Carvings offer an extraordinary glimpse into Chinese religious and artistic history, showcasing intricately carved Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian figures. These stunning cliffside sculptures, dating from the 9th to 13th centuries, represent a pinnacle of Chinese rock art, making them a must-see destination for cultural enthusiasts.

In the afternoon, transfer to the local train station to head for Chengdu. Your guide will pick you up at the exit of the train station, and transfer to the hotel.

Chongqing Dazu Rock Carvings

After breakfast, drive to Chengdu Research Center of Giant Panda Breeding, which is a world-renowned facility dedicated to the conservation of giant pandas. Visitors can observe pandas in naturalistic enclosures, learn about their biology and behavior, and support ongoing research efforts. You will see the adorable creatures when they are most active during the day. If arriving in late summer, you will have a chance to see baby pandas.

Spend your afternoon exploring the city by visiting Wenshu Monastery, Over 1400 years old temple with diff buildings and courtyards representing a sacred place for prayers. where you can observe practicing monks and local worshippers in a serene atmosphere. Conclude your day with a delightful snack-hunting adventure in Jinli Ancient Street.

Chengdu Panda Base

After breakfast, go to visit the Jinsha Site Museum in Chengdu, which displays remarkable artifacts from the ancient Shu Kingdom (3200-2600 years ago), providing a window into their sophisticated civilization before the Qin Dynasty. Visitors can marvel at exquisite gold, jade, and bronze treasures that reveal the unique culture and advanced skills of this lost civilization.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to the next destination or back home.
