Ni Hao, located in Northwest Hunan Province, China, Zhangjiajie welcomes you with its beautiful mountains and the warmth of Tujia ethnic people! - Optional Tianmen Fox Fairy Show: It is one of the most famous landscape shows in China, based on the Hunan folk myth story “Liu Hai Chopping Woodcutter”. The show combines futuristic technology, local folk songs and dances of the ethnic minorities in western Hunan.
Start your Zhangjiajie tour with the visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, a World Natural Heritage Site, and a World Geopark. After entering the park from the Wulingyuan ticket office, embark on a shuttle bus to the Ten Mile Gallery, where there are peculiar peaks shaped in various forms, such as the "Old Man Picking Medicine", the “ Peacock Shows Its Tail” and "Three Sisters Peak" peaks. Then, ride the Bailong Elevator, the highest outdoor elevator in the world with a vertical height of about 326 meters, to the top of Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, in 1.5 minute.
Exit the Bailong Elevator and head toward the 350-meter-high freestanding Qiankun Pillar, which inspires the floating Hallelujah Mountain in Hollywood blockbuster Avatar. From the Avatar Mountain, walk for approximately 20 minutes along the trail to the World's No. 1 Bridge, another wonder created by the nature. It is 2 meters wide, 350 meters high from the bottom, and spans two peaks.
Take the shuttle bus to Tianzi Mountains National Park, known as the "King of Peak Forests in Zhangjiajie". Admire famous peaks like the Fairy Scattering Flowers and the Royal Brush Peak. Take a cable car down for a broad perspective of the forests and peaks of the West Sea.
This morning, drive about 40 minutes to 1 hour to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, where the world's highest and longest glass bridge is located. Have you ever stood on a 100-story building? Probably. But on an entirely transparent glass bridge? So today, challenge yourself walking Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge that is 430 meters long and 300 meters high, with an awesome view of the zhangjaijie Grand Canyon.
Then hike the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon for approximately 2 hours. Go through turquoise lakes and cascade waterfalls, and get to the famous spots such as the Line of Sky, Rainbow Lake and Shenquan Lake. Alternatively, you may choose the elevators, slide ways, or zip lines to descend into the valley.
Drive to Baofeng Lake, part of UNESCO-listed Wulingyuan National Park, featuring beautiful water scenery and the secluded and idyllic charm. After a climb of about 100 steps, get to the lake, and take a boat cruise. Relax your feet, and take in the serenity, while listening to the local Tujia minority people singing their traditional songs.
On the last day of your Zhangjiajie tour, visit Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie city. Ride the 7455-meter long cableway for 18 minutes and overlook the 99-bend road. Follow your private guide, exploring the moutnain along the West Route (the most classic route). Walk the glass-bottom walkway hanging from the 1400 meters cliff (optional), part of the Ghost Valley Trail. Keep walking and get to Tianmen Mountain Temple.
After that, board the sightseeing cable car to reach the best observation station of Tianmen Mountain, Yunmeng Xiange. Then take the Tianmen Mountain escalator down to the Tianmen Cave, which is 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide, and 60 meters deep. This geological wonder have been challenged by climbers, Wingsuit flyers, and other extreme sports enthusiasts. Walk down along 999-step stairway. and take the cableway down.
