    Day

    Upon arrive in Harbin, the capital city of Heilongjian Province, you will be greeted at the airport/railway station by the Elocal English speaking guide of Easy Tour China and transferred to the hotel.

    In the afternoon, start your Harbin city tour. Visit the Saint Sophia Cathedral, a famous landmark in Harbin built in 1907Designed by Russian architect Koyaskov, it is magnificent, elegant and solemn, with a total height of 53.25 meters and a building area of 721 square meters, which can accommodate 2,000 people. The bell tower is at the top of the main entrance, with seven copper musical bells exactly corresponding to seven notes. 

    Then have a walk on the Central Street at your own pace. It is 1400 meters long, built in 1900, including 71 buildings of Renaissance, Baroque and other styles. Thereafter, drive to watch the Ice Lantern Show in Zhaolin Park, a dreamlike paradise of ice lanterns. During the Harbin Ice Festival, you'll see all kinds of ice lanterns, in the shape of tower, animal, human... - a great fun for all people.

    A friendly reminder for your Harbin winter trip
    • Harbin's winter temperatures (December to early March) often drop below -20°C. Please dress warmly for yourself and your children, wearing thick down jackets, thermal underwear, waterproof and snow-resistant boots, thick gloves, hats, scarves, and even face masks.
    • Keep your phone and camera warm to prevent rapid battery drain or automatic shutdown in the low temperatures.
    • The ground in Zhaolin Park is mostly icy; please walk slowly and carefully, paying attention to your and your children's safety when walking or going up and down stairs.
    What to buy on Central Street
    • If you want to sample local Harbin cuisine or bring some home, Madier ice cream, large loaves of bread, and Harbin red sausage are highly recommended.

    Visit Church of St. Sophia

    After breakfast, drive to see the snow sculptures at Sun Island, which blends the ice culture and folklore of Harbin. Here you'll find a squirrel island, a swan lake, a floral garden, Sun Island art gallery, as well as the Ice and Snow Art Gallery that houses around 100 snow and ice art masterpieces. Then head for Harbin Polarland, the first polar land themed park with animal shows, polar land sights in it. Both the adults and kids will love the place.

    Later, go and explore the Siberian Tiger Park via a well-protected vehicle/bus. It is the world's largest captive breeding and breeding base for Siberian tigers. You can take the sightseeing bus to find Siberian tigers of all ages, and also see African lions.

    Finally, transfer to enjoy the highlight of the Harbin Ice Festival - Ice and Snow World where you can wander around the gorgeous ice structures created for the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival and gaze in awe as they light up when the night falls, a definitely amazing experience under the temperature of minus 20-35 degrees!

    • At Harbin Polar Park: The temperature difference between the frigid outdoors and indoor areas is significant; please dress appropriately.
    • At the Northeast Tiger Forest Park: The park offers two types of sightseeing vehicles—regular sightseeing buses and thrill rides (wire mesh vehicles).

    After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour to visit the Stalin Park, an evidence of the happy times between Former Soviet Union and China in 1950’s. Lots of fun activities are available here for all ages, ranging from ice skating and spinning tops, to hovercraft rides and big ice slides. You can choose to take part in some programs at your own expense.

     After that, transfer to the airport and fly to your next destination. Your 3 days Harbin Ice and Snow Festival tour ends.
