How to Plan a Zhangjiajie Tour from Shanghai?

Transport: It takes about 7 to 8 hours to travel to Zhangjiajie from Shanghai by bullet train, and you need to transfer in Changsha or Huaihua. Therefore it is advised that you take a flight to Zhangjiajie from Shanghai, which takes about 2.5 hours.

How many days needed: 4 to 6 days are recommended for your Shanghai tour to Zhangjiajie. Allow 1 to 2 days for your Shanghai trip to explore city highlights or/and a nearby water town. Then stay for 3 to 4 days to explore Zhangjiajie’s Wuliangyuan National Park, Tianmen Mountan, and Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. If you wish to visit Fenghuang Ancient Town or Furong Ancient Town, 1 or 2 more days are needed.
